Choosing the right domain, Short or Long

Ok, I have a new website that I'm developing and have done all the keyword research and my main Micro Niche keyword phrase is only 10 characters long, so I was considering tacking on some stuffer keywords associated with the Micro Niche.

Does anyone have any opinions whether you prefer to go with the short domain or add more keywords onto the domain that can help. My thoughts have always been, you only get 26 characters and the domain carries a lot of weight so make use of the 26 characters.

    I prefer shorter domains. I would never add additional words that weren't necessary ... if they are part of a keyword phrase that gets a lot of searches, I'll use them, but I prefer a short domain name.

      Totally agree!I use long domains when i have no other choice.I think is preferable(for me) to use 3 words not more!
