My Favorite Traffic Sources For Newbies, And Everyone else Enjoy!
  • U.Sfreeads
  • Craigslist
  • Kijiji
  • Backpage
  • Blog Commenting – Comment on blogs related to your niche with a link to your website, or blog. Please do not spam! Post intelligent, relevant comments. I hate people that spam my blog be respectful!
  • Craigslist Forum – Hidden traffic source not many marketers know about that works very well.
  • Craigslist Blog – Most people do not even know Craigslist has a blog. Use there millions of users to your advantage, and post relevant comments on this high powered blog.
  • Youtube - Need I say more? Did you know that Youtube is actually the second largest search engine in the World? Your probably laughing saying this guy is an idiot. Stop laughing it is true! Even though Youtube is a video sharing website owned by you guessed it Google. People are actually using it like a search engine. Youtube visitors are using the search bar to search for videos just like a search engine. Why not take advantage of this and submit some videos with a link to your website, or blog? Choose a good title and you are off to the races with free targeted traffic. There are actually a lot of marketers on Youtube, who are earning a lot of money by just specializing in video marketing.
  • Youtube Video Commenting – Back to Youtube again ever look at all the top videos on Youtube that get millions of views? Why not take advantage of this by leaving relevant comments on videos in your niche that are highly viewed? If people like your comments they will visit your Youtube profile, see your website link, and take a look. Voila! Free targeted traffic just do not spam make relevant comments.
  • Warriorforum – This is the best internet marketing forum online bar none, and I have been a member there for a while. You will learn a lot of great tips there for sure so if you have not signed up for a free account do so quickly. I am Entrepreneurjay on there feel free to drop me a line. Add a signature in your control panel to your website, or blog. Every post you make your free advertising begins with a link to your website underneath every post. P.S. Do not spam you will be like Arnold Schwarzenegger and terminated! There are people making millions of dollars online in this forum take all the free advice that you can get.
  • www.honestworkfromhomesuccess.com -This online forum is like Warriorforums little brother they have great traffic levels and an active community. Be sure to add them to your arsenal affiliates!
  • Websitebabble.com – Lisa the owner of this forum is very cool, and she has a very active community.
  • Press Releases - Submit press releases for free to various press release websites online. My favorite is http://www.prlog.org For a complete list I found a great blog with 20 free press release sites. You can check them out here: 20+ Free Press Release Distribution Sites
  • Twitter – You are gonna want to sign up for a free Twitter account with a link to your blog, or website in your Twitter profile. I am not a big fan of Twitter but I do use it every time I update my blog with a new post.
  • Facebook – I am not huge into social marketing myself but there are plenty of successful people out there who earn a lot of money through Twitter, Facebook, Myspace ETC… There are like half a billion Facebook members so making a profile with a link to your site is a very good idea. Even if you do not plan on using Facebook in your marketing campaigns it will give you a nice backlink.
  • Ezinearticles.com – The biggest article directory online. If your just starting out affiliate marketing and your looking for free targeted traffic, and juicy backlinks, submit those articles affiliates! Ezinearticles is the king of article directories.
  • Articlesbase.com – I love this article directory they are on Ezinearticles.coms tail for the best online and it is instant approval. Great free traffic source to increase your income levels.
  • Goarticles.com – Great for backlinks, not to great for paying customers, but still worth submitting too.
  • Hubpages.com – I can go on and on about the various ways to earn money through hubpages . You can monetize your hubs through affiliate marketing, Google adsense, Amazon, and even Kontera. The hubs rank well in the search engines, and they are very pleasing to the eye. I have made quite a bit of money now, and in the past by writing hubs for hubpages. Take advantage of this excellent traffic source affiliates!
  • Adswaps – If you have already started an email list which I highly recommend by the way if you have not. The old saying goes the money is in the list, and that is 110% true! If you already have an email list and you want to increase your email list, and skyrocket your sites traffic check out Safeswaps it is one of the best investments I have ever made I make 10 times what safeswapscharges after the first months membership by using there service. If you set up a few adswaps a week this can really make you some fast money. For those of you who do not know what adswaps are it is basically you sending out a free offer to your list for another affiliate marketer in exchange for them sending an ad out for you. This works out for both parties to increase your list size, your earnings, and your traffic all at the same time.
  • Yahoo answers – Comment on questions related to your niche. After enough posts you can have an active link to your blog, or website, for a lot of free targeted traffic. Even before you have enough posts you can make a yahoo profile with a link to your website. If the person likes your answer they will be sure to visit your website.
  • Rss Feeds – Submit your blog to free rss feeds
  • Squidoo – Great backlink but they are not very affiliate friendly. I like hubpages a lot better – but never the less good for a backlink. You could earn a lot more money with them in the past but a lot of affiliate marketers still use them.
  • Traffic Exchanges – I am not a big fan of traffic exchanges first off. The quality of traffic they produce is low quality non-buyers. Most of them are freebie seekers with no advertising budget. Not the kind of traffic I want to attract to my blog. This is a business, and we are in business to make money. Not lose it! When I first started out years ago, I remember sitting at the computer viewing countless websites in exchange for them viewing my website. Oh, what a waste of time that was! Russian roulette anyone? All kidding aside. If your a beginner just starting out in the affiliate, or Internet marketing industry, try them out for yourself let me know what you think? Some marketers swear that traffic exchanges are great for building lists. Not the kind of email list I want, but too each his own. Here are a few popular traffic exchanges, if anything it is a few good backlinks to your site. http://www.trafficswarm.com @ Traffic-Splash free manual surf traffic exchange
  • Pinterest - You have probably been hearing the buzz going around about this site called pinterest a great free traffic source a lot of W.S.O's going around about this. Pinterest is a virtual pinboard. Pinterest allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. You can browse pinboards created by other people to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and share their favorite recipes.
  • Google plus - You all have heard of this one this is a great site to build up your email list if used correctly.
  • Linkedin - I am using this powerhouse for online Entrepreneurs more and more these days. Why? It is easy to add new connections, build your list, and most these people are business professionals with money to spend not freebie seekers.
  • Blogging - Only posting very high quality 100% unique content that can be spread around the internet like wildfire. Benefits: A lot of backlinks to your blog, a rise in the search engines, and a ton of free targeted traffic to your blog.
  • Solo Ads - If your building an email list solo ads can be a very low cost way to get a ton of new subscribers. Also if you buy the right solo ads you can make your money back and a lot more plus all the free subscribers you will get from your purchase. You really cannot go wrong with solo ads if you know what to look for.

Pinging sites definitely helps out it gets the search engines to your content faster. If you use a self hosted Wordpress blog they should do that for you automatically. That is why Wordpress.org is the top choice for the top bloggers in the World so many great add ons you can use that helps with your Internet marketing.

If you ping an article it will get indexed faster its always a good idea, unless you do not mind waiting a little longer.

      I use Pingomatic

Sure do! Read up on bum marketing and get your ads to rank on the first page of Google for your chosen keywords. Google the bum marketing method, its free to learn and check out. Then apply what you learn to the classifieds that you write. Good luck!

    Just my five cents on the matter, some of these are great, and others are a little bit of a waste of time for the return;

Classifieds - Not bad for a quick link, if you can get ones that rank well for obscure niches. We have three or four we use in Australia for that, namely Locanto and Bondi Classifieds.

Blog Commenting - We have had more success from using Blog Commenting to build links than traffic.

Yes to YouTube - it is by far the best source of traffic you can spend your time on.

The rest I would pretty much disagree with. Why not swap article marketing for using WEB 2.0 services like Blogger to build up other quality websites around your niche. Why give another website the traffic and backlinks when you can have it yourself?

The one thing that has been two best traffic sources we have used are web directories and writing a blog. In some niches there are some directories that pretty much monopolise all the traffic. Also, when you write a blog, you can create something that really drives people to take action, rather than sitting redundantly.

entrepreneurjay up to his high standards, as usual.
awesome list, now all you do is grab one you fancy,
    and make it work.
If it's something that requires time before the results
come in, take 5 of those and make them work.
Don't even think about stopping it just because you don't
see instant results. Keep plugging away until you've
had at least 10 "thanks-but-no-thanks" from the market.

at that point try something else. But don't take an initial
setback as a "hey, this technique doesn't work", because
    they all do.

some better in some markets than others, but they all have
    their merits.

    have fun

There is a good mix between article directories, classifieds, Youtube, Rss Feeds, Forums you name it I covered a lot of different effective strategies for you to apply. Blog commenting is another one of my absolute favorites I use quite a bit.

And to answer your question these strategies will bring you both traffic, and high powered backlinks!

You have to tread cearefully once you get to level 2 I believe your links are clickable on any question you answer. You can make a profile on Yahoo with a link to your website if that is all you are looking for is a quality backlink.

Yeah it definitely can happen, I am saying your links are not clickable till level 2. You can still put them in your answers but they are not clickable. I would use your own blog links sparingly and not on every question that you answer. Just play it smart that's all you can do.

But yeah I hear ya they are pretty strict.

It still is a great traffic source if people like your answers. Even if you do not put a link in the source box they can still click on your profile that has a link to your blog, or website, for free targeted traffic.

Like I said play smart and comment on posts that are related to your online business. If you put a link to your website, or blog in every question that you answer than yeah it will probably raise a red flag. If you do it moderately and answer questions truthfully you will get a nice amount of free targeted traffic for your efforts.

Is Yahoo answers my favorite? No. but it does work if you play nice. It is just another tool in my arsenal.

I have to agree, Yahoo Answers is just one advertising resource out of many that will bring you some traffic, but not a ton. It does bring you passive traffic over a long time especially if your answers are particularly descriptive and relevant. Also, I'd stay away from the classic black hat Yahoo Answers tactic of asking a question and also answering it, as that is pretty risky and not worth the trouble.

Type into Google 100 top blogs in your niche that are dofollow. You should find a good list to start with by doing this.

And yes I definitely recommend commenting on blogs related to your niche. You want targeted traffic to your sites that can convert into sales. Untargeted traffic does you no good.

For building backlinks it is a little different it does matter just not nearly as much in my opinion. You want to link to sites with high pagerank, and traffic. But overall the more quality links you have pointing at your website the better. And the higher you will rank in the serps for your chosen keyword phrases.

You are right on traffic exchanges , traffic quality is poor. SEO,PPC, traffic is most powerful in my opinion.

    • Craigslist Forum - Hidden traffic source not many marketers know about that works very well.
    • Craigslist Blog - Most people do not even know Craigslist has a blog.
    • Youtube Video Commenting - Back to Youtube again ever look at all the top videos on Youtube that get millions of views? Why not take advantage of this by leaving relevant comments on videos in your niche that are highly viewed? If people like your comments they will visit your Youtube profile, see your website link, and take a look. Voila! Free targeted traffic just do not spam make relevant comments.
    • Warriorforum - This is the best internet marketing forum online bar none, and I have been a member there for a while.
    • Websitebabble.com - Lisa the owner of this forum is very cool, and she has a very active community.
    • Press Releases - Submit press releases for free to various press release websites online. My favorite is http://www.prlog.org For a complete list I found a great blog with 20 free press release sites. You can check them out here: 20+ Free Press Release Distribution Sites
    • Twitter - You are gonna want to sign up for a free Twitter account with a link to your blog, or website in your Twitter profile. I am not a big fan of Twitter but I do use it every time I update my blog with a new post.
    • Facebook - I am not huge into social marketing myself but there are plenty of successful people out there who earn a lot of money through Twitter, Facebook, Myspace ETC... There are like half a billion Facebook members so making a profile with a link to your site is a very good idea. Even if you do not plan on using Facebook in your marketing campaigns it will give you a nice backlink.
    • Ezinearticles.com - The biggest article directory online. If your just starting out affiliate marketing and your looking for free targeted traffic, and juicy backlinks, submit those articles affiliates! Ezinearticles is the king of article directories.
    • Articlesbase.com - I love this article directory they are on Ezinearticles.coms tail for the best online and it is instant approval. Great free traffic source to increase your income levels.
    • Goarticles.com - Great for backlinks, not to great for paying customers, but still worth submitting too.
    • Hubpages.com - I can go on and on about the various ways to earn money through hubpages .
    • Adswaps - If you have already started an email list which I highly recommend by the way if you have not.
    • Yahoo answers - Comment on questions related to your niche. After enough posts you can have an active link to your blog, or website, for a lot of free targeted traffic. Even before you have enough posts you can make a yahoo profile with a link to your website. If the person likes your answer they will be sure to visit your website.
    • Rss Feeds - Submit your blog to free rss feeds
    • Squidoo - Great backlink but they are not very affiliate friendly. I like hubpages a lot better - but never the less good for a backlink. You could earn a lot more money with them in the past but a lot of affiliate marketers still use them.
    • Traffic Exchanges - I am not a big fan of traffic exchanges first off. Here are a few popular traffic exchanges, if anything it is a few good backlinks to your site. http://www.trafficswarm.com @ Traffic-Splash free manual surf traffic exchange
that's a good list! i'm definitely going to try Craigslist...

Do you do what for each article posted? If your submitting an article to Ezinearticles.com for example wait till the article gets picked up by the 3 major search engines (or indexed) Then resubmit it to the other article directories.

If that is what you were asking.

Craigslist is good. I made my first clickbank sale there without using any blackhat tactics.

I think it was the richjerk.

Unfortunately, I think its only the US classified sections has traffic and your phone number must be verified before posting. What do you do if you don't have a US number?

I would focuse on list building, it is the best asset for the future you can have. Do some swaps here on Warrior forum, Digital point, Wicked fire, some black hat forums and special sites for swaps (f.e. http://safe-swaps.com). With a list of 50 000 targeted subscribers you could end your 9-5 work and be free
