Looking for free images 960px x 150px, can anyone suggest a site?

Hey guys

I have been busting my nut for 2 hours just trying to find an image to use as a header on my niche blog.

I have to find an image sized 960px x 150px...

I am wanting to get into a lot of niches so I need various images.

Anyone know a good site.

Try this site, stock.xchng - the leading free stock photography site. They have some that are free. You will have to use a photo program to resize.

Yeah, sxc is a fave on mine. Google sxc. I know there is a list on warrior forum with the names of all the sites that have free images. Hey some one please post the link - thank you.

Jason Moffatt shared a bunch of free photo sites (digital photos, clip art, stock photos, etc) in his blog, here is the link: Free Resources Online | Bare Naked Brain Fodder

If you browse the comments there are resources for royalty free music and other things too.

photoxpress.com
has been a good source for me. They have both free and premium. You are limited in how many free images you can get per day (currently 10, I think) but the free selection is quite good. There are currently 633000 free images available. I think they have raster only, no vector.

I will have to check out some of the other sites listed in this topic

Free Photos and Wallpapers

If you pick one here, I will crop it for you if you tell me what portion of the image you want. Some sites do not allow commercial use, or require credit for commercial work, so be careful.

  Try Free Header Graphics Software | XHeader .... some excellent templates and a tool to edit them ... and it's free!!
  
  Also Incansoft do a free daily header sent you your inbox .... go to header-software.com. Disadvantage is you only get 1 a day but you never know ...

For editing software I personally use Paint.Net (getpaint.net). It's free and prefer it over Paint Shop Pro.

You can pick up 25 free images at Image-Reseller >> Home

They also have Private Label photos that you can use in any
project you have. Plus no worries like you have with the
other stock photo places.

I use iStockPhoto quite a bit. Not sure if they have free photos or not, I'm sure they do. There rates are pretty cheap anyway. Good luck!
