Affiliate Program Gone Bad?

I'm still fairly new at affiliate marketing but continue along at an even keel.

Up until now I've had pretty good luck but am wondering if anyone else has experienced an affiliate program gone bad?

In this case, a well known IM peep notified me of commissions and the need to enroll in PayPeopleOnline for me to get paid--which I did.

But that was over three months ago and the support response has been bad and direct response has been non-existent--even though I recently got an email stating that the person had just made $24,000 in commissions promoting another program.

I've removed my links except on the program review and just wonder what is going to play out.

So, I thought I'd check here to see if anyone else had experienced something similar, how you handled it, and anything else you would like to share.

This peep was pretty well known and I thought pretty trustworthy.

The couple of threads here on the forum concerning this program were closed (wonder why...) or I would have posted there but any thoughts and experiences you would care to share would be appreciated.
