Doing/releaseing projects 'HALF ASSED' due to external issues? how were your results?

Have any of you released a ebook, product, (product launch product), WSO or anything else in a 'half assed' way?

meaning not to the best it could have been done, due to
- time pressure or tight deadlines,
-or your outsourcer bailed out on you due to some reasons,
- or anything else?

If so, did do worse than you anticipated with the results and sales, or still did well?

    No ... I wouldn't release a product half-assed. Who wants a reputation for half-assed products? Not me.

    Hello,
there are some people that will never release any product until it is 100 percent done, I call that person a procrastinator.

Yes, twice, and only through necessity. Sales were very bad. I didn't get a lot of testimonials. I would estimate the product hit the market at about 80% quality, and made about 40% of the sales it would if I'd gotten it done right first. Plus, knowing the quality wasn't up to par, I charged lower prices for it.

Of course, sometimes 40% of a low price now is more important than 100% of a high price next month.

Your product doesn't have to be perfect. It just has to be available!

So many people will spend their entire IM careers and never be able to launch a product.

      Agreed.

A product that isn't in the market because you haven't finished it is making you $0.

Even if you can only put a $5 or $10 price tag on it, even if you have to promise an update later, get it out there. $7 a sale on a piddly number of sales is better than nothing.

    No way Jose/Matt,

There's good enough, really good and great. I strive for the third one...but will send out really good along with updates to bring it up to great if need be.

Which reminds me...I better get back to it!
