    Here are a few thoughts:

    - put your product in clickbank
    - search your main keywords and see who promotes similar products with PPC. Contact them and offer them a review copy
    - offer review copies to marketers with large lists. They may not reply, as they get bombarded with Jv offers, but you never know until you try
    - hire an affiliate manager

    Wishing you success.

First of all, don't limit yourself. Submit your product not only to CB, but also to PayDotCom or to PayZeno (you should have detailed promoting blueprint for the latter though).

Second of all, I don't think you can expect some power affiliates just coming in and making you a ton of money. Their time is valuable and they will be concerned only with the best of the best.

If you're looking for general affiliates though, just offer everyone of your customers to become an affiliate for the product you've just sold them...

  • My secret weapon for affiliates is to use Rapid Action Profits to manage the sale, and then list the product in RAP Bank. I pick up excellent affiliates that way, with very little effort on my part.

The other thing is to have more than one product. You can pick up affiliates who will mail for every product you put out. A lot of them will start with the low ticket items that looks like easy sells to their list. For instance, I offer several 100% commission products at all levels from $5 up to $27 and have got many of my best affiliates that way, who then mail for almost everything I release.

So, do you give 100% commission to the affiliates in order to build your marketing list? Or am I thinking about 100% commission the wrong way?

Yes, that's the exact reason I give 100% commission.

The affiliates make cash (and they get paid by PayPal instantly, and people with the right list can make hundreds of dollars from a mailing), I make some money off the backends (I have the backends set up as 50% me, 50% affiliate - i.e. the affiliates gets every second payment), plus I get a valuable lead who has spent money.

The best affiliates I can work with as well, offer their customers exclusive discounts etc.

Providing you're not desperate to make cash (you are giving away 100% commissions after all), it's a great technique for building a high value list.

That's a big plus all by itself. When I'm going through CB looking for something to match a new page, a 1% affiliate commission does not get me to spend a lot of time checking it out.

Actually saw that a while ago. Can't imagine it getting a single affiliate excited.

I certainly will be looking first at using RAP when I do have a product. (Just an affiliate so far.) As an affiliate the instant payment part saves a person even logging in to check sales. I'm a rap fan.

I do go through RAP bank first looking for offers, but so far CB has a huge advantage for affiliates too. They have about 1000 times more stuff.

      Phone them up.
I have found phoning some of them direct, in a personal approach and asking them to consider being my affiliate has helped.

They love the personal authority approach.

Some of them unfortunately don't have numbers thought,

Thanks very much everyone although I'm not the OP I'm also very concerned about this. Been trying to increase the value of my product before I flip it for some capital.

I'd like to know does it really benefit that much to spend $49 and the waiting for a clickbank approval? Can I actually expect sales?
