What would you recommend to start?

If you were fairly new with internet marketing, would starting as an affiliate or a product creator be a better choice? I cant really decide because I see the pro's and con's for each.

Affiliate marketing- I have to create a site/blog/or a following on some articles I write. (that's a negative) A positive is I dont have to worry about creating an entirely new product.

Product creation-Pro is that I can create my product, give it to affiliates, and let them do most of the work. No copyright and no traffic generation for me. Con is that creating an entire product can be overwhelming.

What are everyone's thoughts about this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I might be missing something.

If your just starting out, then start as an affiliate. This will be the quickest way to start generating an income. Then start to create your product, and then roll it out as a creator.

As Ashley said, If you are just starting out you should begin as an affiliate. It takes some time to create a good product where as if you are an affiliate everything is already created so all you need to worry about is marketing it.

While you are making money as an affiliate you can be creating your product and then go from there. Just my 2 cents

I think it's more about your strength and weakness. Also your background, skills and expertise - plus niche market you want to explore.

Yes, the common advice for beginners is to start as an affiliate. But their is no rule that says beginners can't start with product creation method.

My suggestion is you start by building list of subscribers in your niche. Your first monetization model can now be affiliate marketing but it will be very easy for you to introduce your product.
