Why do some Ezine Articles get great views and not others

Hi all,

Why do some Ezine Articles get great views and not others?

I see there is an article about weight loss here.

It was published on the August 13, 2010 and has been viewed 41,206 times.

This is the only article this publisher has up there, but they have amazing views, and yet other articles hardly get views at all.

Your input would be appreciated.

Regards,

Dazza

Most likely, it showed up on the first page of Google's search results for a significant period of time.

The author may be buying views to push it to a position of
      prominence on Ezinearticles.

While the purchased traffic is pretty much junk, the prominent
EZA position may have some perceived value to the marketer
      doing this.

This is a grey hat method I'm describing, againts EZA terms and
bannable if you get caught, but it is done.

I can't comment on the quality of real traffic you would get if
you leveraged your article views in this manner. I also am not
saying the article which interests you was boosted in this
way - merely that it has been done before and is not an
outlandish explanation for a high view count.

People set and forget the articles when they need to be bookmarking, pinging (your ezine profile), linking and all that good stuff.

Also, good headline get views, bad one get passed.

I know which one I would click:

"Top 3 Surprising Facts About Dogs" or

"3 Things You Must Know or Your Dog Will Die" ;-)

Some people use an article as thier main money page pushing all thier traffic to it as a landing page rather than using a site. This is just one of many possible explanations.
