How Do You Obtain Content For Your Site?

I'm learning that when it comes to content for you site\blog, outsourcing this task is the way to go. There are a few choices here, purchase PLR articles and have them rewritten either by some software or hire someone to do the job.

Alternatively, you can simply hire someone to write you a unique article from scratch. I'm getting the impression that this is the preferred option?

However, given that there seems to be a huge market in the selling of PLR articles, I assume that there must be a fair amount of people who buy these articles and then re-write. Unless I'm missing a trick, simply copying these articles to your site\blog is a serious no no.

So I'm interested to know what other IM's usually do?, do you mostly hire someone to produce you unique articles or do you prefer to buy PLR articles and 'crunch' them through some software app?

I just answered your poll. Truth is I could have ticked all the boxes (except using software to rewrite - I would never do that), but presently I'm writing all my content as well as selling PLR.

Writing is a strength of mine, so I choose to do it as a way of making sure my websites are quality and to save a bit of cash at this stage. I'll definitely get writers to help out in future.

In response to the PLR aspect, I have also used PLR and rewritten it myself for my sites in the past. PLR is useful as it's far cheaper than buying unique, and also much quicker than writing from scratch. I always encourage my buyers to rewrite my PLR too for the greatest effect. I would never recommend using software - it just doesn't make sense.

I write my own at the moment because I know I can control the quality. I'm waiting to establish the site as having high quality content, then I know that other people will offer to write for the blog as well.

Yep, I also write my own stuff, first to keep costs low, and second, to keep quality high.

I know a lot of people use article directories for good content and of course YouTube is a great place to find interesting stuff.

I am a terrible writer, so outsourcing is the way to go for me.

Spinning PLR just doesn't make sense to me, personally. I find most of the rewriting software is "less than adequate", not to mention that in the time needed to spin, proofread fix, etc I could probably have written it myself. Although cheaper, it takes too much time.

Of course, I guess it all depends on finding a decent content writer, how many sites you are developing and your own writing level. I think I would probably do more myself if I was capable.

I outsource, write my own, and use PLR - it depends on the project. I also use the best spinner to spin the content. It is a manual spinner and you pick which synonyms to use. It works great.

Oh, another great way is to install the free wp plugins "Zemanta" and "Insights" they are great for finding relevant content to the site you are working on.

The closest answer for me is "I write my own content", although it isn't 100% of the answer.

I will also use hand-picked syndicated content in some cases, such as articles from directories or videos from YouTube. The key there is "hand-picked", because the syndicated material matches my own quality criteria.

I write my own content for most of my sites. But I´m seriously thinking about outsourcing the writing of the articles for some of my sites. I´m starting to run short of time.

Original content is a must. I also look at it like this, if I write something good maybe someone else will copy it

I also do my own stunts!
