I'm thinking of joining a membership site to get plr product but I can't decide if it would be worth it. So I am looking for opinions

I did it before, it never really amounted to much but I have a landing page for a white label (get to rebrand it) plr ebook that still brings in a sale every month or so just from the promotion work I did a long time ago.

Definitely other things more worth the effort I put in overall though.

It really depends on the site you are considering joining. If you join one of the big PLR membership sites that offers you 50 plus products etc then you have to remember that every other member on that site has the same access to the products you are thinking of using.

If you are looking to buy PLR then the number of other copies floating around the internet at the same time is a lot less. I got an email from Tiffany Dow this morning for example and I know she writes PLR packages but limits the number of copies sold - in that respect the PLR you get is going to be worth more and you would have to do less with it to create your own unique content.

    Best of luck

In my opinion, it can not help you a lot. As good2go4 said, its better that you buy products which are selling in limited edition that you can sell them better and any one can't find them every where on the net.
Also you should see your ability to sell products. If you have a website with good traffic, or you have a lot of friends on social networking sites, you will be successful.

It all really depends on your marketing of the product. You can make a ton of money selling QUALITY PLR products but you still need to market them, there's no way around that unfortunately!

I have one in the dog niche that I do pretty good with with minimal amount of work. I put up a blog, capture emails and then mention the ebook. That was a bout a year ago and I still get 3 or 4 sales a month with no work done on it in about a year.

I use PLR products, but haven't divulged in a membership site yet. However, I've been considering this too, as some micro-niche blogs are hard to find articles for. With this in mind, I've been working on a free PLR ecourse. I just finished day five. Are You Lost On the Information Highway if your intersted.

I did get to test a PLR membership site last week though, and I used it to build two blogs with 16 and 23 post respectively in just a few hours a piece. Note, I scheduled it so that only one post is published daily. I found this to be very helpful. However, I found great info on ferrets (created this blog Ferret Paradise) and bass fishing (created this blog Bass Fishing Paradise) I found nothing on another niched blog that I had already created (about Parakeets). I told the owner this and he said he would find some or have them written. This is a big plus of most membership sites. You can have them create content for you.

However, with all PLR you need to re-write the articles to avoid duplication penalties. I've even gone as far as to completely write a different article but use the PLR for inspiration. This works good in niches you already have a knowledge on.

So, I can't recommend any sites, other than the one I just tested (the official address is pending I believe, but you can check it out at Articles Done For You | Largest PLR Article Database in the world!) I think it's ten bux a month, and its possible I put in the wrong address. But in my opinion, rather you join a membership PLR site should be based on your needs. If you plan to create several niche blogs like i'm doing then a membership site is probably ideal. However, if your just going to publish a few articles or compile an ebook I think you should stick to purchasing PLR one package at a time. I know I got a package of 6500 articles once for fairly cheap, problem is I've only used a few subjects from those. So its probably better to find targeted niche PLR books/articles rather than a one-size-fits all.

From my experience you're better off buying PLR a la carte (pay for what you need).

There are a few good web sites with limited editions. One of them is from a fellow Warrior:

PLR Articles - Private Label Rights Articles (not an affiliate link)

I've bought from the web site below:

Private Label Right Articles (not an affiliate link)

With a lot of PLR articles you have to consider rewriting them but there are a handful that have great quality and limited editions being sold.

If you're looking for PLR as a starting point to produce your own content or if you don't mind rewriting then there are a lot of low cost providers out there.

I find too that I use the PLR for inspiration and can usually write several articles from one PLR article. To sell them you would really have to change them up a lot and add extra content and bonuses to your customers.

I am really enjoying writing and creating my own content at the moment and may even offer some PLR packs soon.

I think whether signing up for a membership is worth it or not depends on a number of factors. Firstly, you've got to make sure you'll actually use the PLR. In the past, I signed up to a membership for one niche but unfortunately never kept up with it so decided to cancel. Everyone has different needs in that respect.

Secondly, like others have said, quality PLR is far more valuable. There are a lot of membership and non-membership PLR sites that offer things that have been around for years, sold for pennies because they literally aren't worth much. I prefer original PLR where there's an obvious individual behind it (rather than just a bunch of resell rights products written by god-knows-who). I think it's far more valuable in that respect.

Also, of course you can still get great value buying packs as and when you need them, rather than buying into a membership. All depends on what you need!

Using PLR is a time saver for sure. If you can find quality and limited PLR then you have a winner.

PLR can be very useful. I've sold PLR products and also used PLR articles as content on blogs.

What do you plan to do with the PLR products?

If you plan on simply reselling the products, it helps to already have a list to work with. As stated a few times, others will have the same products so if you simply plan on putting up a site and reselling, good luck

I have been working with PLR products for a number of years and they really CAN work in many ways. Here's what I normally do...

First, if I find a product or products that are of good quality, I will bundle some and make a package. I will also change the look of the products with my own graphics. I will also rewrite much of the content (for ebooks and articles) or if they are videos, I will add my own brand to the videos.

Or, and what I USUALLY do, is find products that are related to a product I have created myself and use them as a bonus. Or fill-in/supplemental products. For example, I have a site in the Food/Party/Entertainment niche. I have 2 ebooks that are original, written by me. To make the package and the upsell more appealing I added a bundle of related PLR ebooks which I branded to go with the rest of the site (new ecovers, reformatted ebook layouts, etc). By doing this allowed me to raise my product price from $17 to $29.97 and my sales actually increased.

PLR certainly have their uses. Don't join one "just because". Have a plan.

      1. You can find a lot of free PLR giveaways here on the WF.
      2. It's always best to pay only for what you need, do you want to pay $100 and end up with a package worth $10?
      3. Always consider how many people will have the same product as you and how will it affect your ability to compete with them...
