I started affiliate marketing a couple of months ago. First I picked a product which I plan to market through article marketing. But since then I have never made any sale. I picked a course once which taught me to go for low competitive keywords to use for my articles. I have tried that with the current product I am promoting but I couldn't come up with any keyword that has low competition.
I am getting frustrated with affiliate marketing. And the worst is that I don't have any more money to spend online.

I just feel like shouting "SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING"

PLEASE, I REALLY NEED HELP.

Any chance you could give us some more details on the product?

There are so many keyword tools out there, you should be able to use on to find some long tail keywords.

    Hey,

Don't worry. The first thing you ought to consider is whether you are targeting information keywords or buyer keywords.

An informational keyword may be something like:

    "ways to relieve my acne"

A buyer keyword may be something like:

    "Sony DSC-T50 digital camera"

Can you see someone searching with that sort of specificity has most likely already made a buying decision? They WANT a DSC-T50 and are possibly just searching for the best price.

The next piece of advice I have for you is stop spending money. There are too many ways to drive traffic for free.

If you haven't got a blog yet. You may wish to set up a blog using WordPress. A blog is actually a traffic source. Make lots of posts so you have control over the content.

Remember this... all traffic is not equal. There are different grades, legitimacies, lengths, prices, time investments and qualities. I wish I could help you more but I don't have the time to describe all these here, but you're welcome to head on over to my blog to find more info for free.

    - What tool are you using for keyword research?
    - Dig deeper to find long-tail keywords. they tend to have less competition.
    - Maybe you have chosen the wrong product.
