Driving more traffic to my blog??

First off, it's not expensive at all to get a domain name and hosting account going. Namecheap will give you a domain name for under $11.00, and you can get hosting from Hostgator at real good discounts.

As far as getting people to subscribe to you, you need to learn about list building. You can't "make" your subscribe button just give something away for free. You need to find a product to give away for free and have an autoresponder that will do a lot of the work for you when it comes to these things.

In order to get people to sign up to your list, you need to learn how to market. 150 is nothing. I am not trying to be discouraging or mean, but you really have a lot to learn. So I would go learn what it is you need to do first, then you can build your business.

Ramone is right about not using free services. But, I also know that when you first start, sometimes even a few dollars is too much to spend. I would suggest you not to build your entire business on free services. But, you can use them to get you going. Free services such as blogger are good tools for familiarizing yourself with how everything works and best of all experiencing building and running a successful blog.

Just remember, as soon as you can afford to, make sure to register your own domains and get a cheap hosting account, so you can be in total control and not risk losing everything, whenever they decide to pull the rug under your leg.

As far as traffic generation goes, in my personal and rather short but very hands on experience, free methods are usually the best methods. They take longer to develop, but they also last longer and are more targeted. resist the temptation to drive traffic at any cots. I know when I stared my blog, I was willing to pay for those 5000 visitors for $10 kinds of offer, knowing that they weren't really quality traffic. I dint use any of them, but I had to fight the urge.

Instead, I focused my efforts into long term traffic generation, without spending a dime. And I learned everything on this forum with the help of warriors. And now, 10 months or so latter, my blog is enjoying a steady stream of traffic that pulls in more and more visitors every day. Compare to big guys, I might not get much traffic, (around 300-400 a day) but 95% of the traffic comes from search engine and its very targeted and quality.
