I am currently selling a good amount of products as an amazon affiliate through various sites I've built up over the years that have good SEO presence - enough that I get to work from home and not have a "regular" job. I've always been quite happy with this arrangement, but I've also always considered opening up my own online store and just selling the stuff myself, to increase my bottom line.

In the hopes of not losing my freedom and going through the process of actually renting a warehouse, buying and housing merchandise, having employees, etc., I'd like to experiment with dropshipping.

Unfortunately, I have no idea who to work with, as there are many sites I've paid membership fees for, only to find out they only carry undesirable products, or if they do actually have the top products, the prices aren't low enough for it to be worth my time.

Does anyone know of a reputable dropshipping service with a vast product catalogue at good prices? It seems that most services are tailored towards selling items on ebay, and most of of the products aren't name brand, or desirable, or they're already being sold cheaper on ebay to begin with. (kinda like SMC)

Bottom line - if I want to dropship top of the line washers and dryers, or child car seats, or cameras, etc. who would I work with?

Thanks for reading.

Dropshipping is a very tricky thing, you can get some real good items that can generate a profit at first but as soon as others find out about the site, then your profits can go down hill. Also you are really dependant on the dropshpper to make or break your business, you might have a hot seller on your hand and there might be tons of orders coming in, but the dropshipper could be out of stock on the product and you might not be able to fullfill your agreements and orders.

You could look at Drop Ship, Light Bulk, Liquidation and Import Wholesalers from Worldwide Brands! - Home Page , they have been in business for ages, hope this helps.

    Cheers,

You brought up some good points that I hadn't considered. Thanks for that, and for the links. I'll check them out.

      Ever heard of Doba?

Yes and used them before, I would not use them again either.

    Hey man,

You will want to check out some of these companies first...buy 1 product to make sure it's good quality, shipping & delivery are right, etc...

But this is a great website that puts you in touch with drop shippers all over the world. The site is:

    Alibaba.com - The world's largest online B2B marketplace.

You will find some deals, there. And don't forget to "haggle the price" with them. You can usually get a better deal.

(Alibaba is the host site that has the links to the actual wholesalers/drop shippers.)

    Hope this helps,

    Hi Kellinski,

As you search for a suitable drop-shipper, never pay to be able to see what the drop-shipper is offering. It is fine to sign to their newsletter but you should be careful not to pay anything in advance in order to sign up for a drop-shipping service. Make sure you pay only after you get a customer who buys from you.
