Outsourcing Content Security Question?

In this industry, is it uncommon to run across requests of NDA's and NCA's? For example, if I take a boatload of niche research and forward it to a content writer for keywords and such, I'm basically handing them a silver platter, aside from my business model.

Is it unexpected in internet marketing to ask for some sort of security? I can imagine for some article writers, they would be like wth!

I'm not generally concerned with anything like this, because action always consumes. But, when or if I pay for niche research and other services, it would be like throwing money down the drain if some of my content writers were to start popping up in the same niches.

Thoughts or opinions?

Thanks in advance!

This is why you build a relationship with someone or a few people and you use those same people over and over. By building a relationship with them there is less motivation for someone to just "take your ideas"..

For the most part not only is your friendship worth more to those you build a relationship with but the fact that you are going to pay them for jobs over and over is wroth alot more then stealing some idea..

It's good to cover your ass and protect your interests... if you have too much to lose. All you can do is do whatever you can legally to protect yourself. That's about all.

Exposing your "business secrets" and not being copied is, in my opinion, an ideal situation that is non-existence. There's a trade off in everything we do. But as long as your business is making a profit, who cares about copycat.

For argument's sake, even though the writer knows about your niches, my question is how many of them will actually take your ideas and turn into reality? Even though they do, how many of them know what you know about marketing the business? And your business model behind it?

    Not many.

And each one of us has a role to play. A writer's role is to write. And you role maybe of a marketer. Everyone just has to do their bit in what they do best. It's hard we can do (or copy) everything someone else is doing. That's why we need outsourcing!

Don't worry about being copied, focus your energy on creating your own business. That is more practical.

    My 2 cents.

Thanks for the opinions... that is my normal thinking as well, I just noticed some of my content from a few blogs getting ripped of left and right lately. I don't have any secrets, as I don't really believe in them. Execution rules ideas every day of the week.

It's a waste of my time to do anything about it, but now that I'm interested in starting some article marketing and outsourcing content creation, I saw the dollar signs. heh

If you don't want your writers t copy your keyword research,
dont give it to them. Just ask them to write about something
specific related to your keyword, but don't give them the
exact keyword. Once you get your articles, go through them
and dump your actual keywords in them.
