Best Tools to Promote a New website that's Launched?

Hey Guys,

Just launched me new website.

I need to do a lot of promoting and advertising for it to gain users, hits and so forth. What are the best tools. Im specifically looking at:

1. Getting more hits on my youtube videos (or getting featured).
2. Twitter software that adds like 400 people a day based on the right category.
3. Free SEO tool to increase google rankings (Joomla site btw).

Im a newbie to this site so please forgive if this is not the right category.

My site is called Webinest. Its a dot com.

    I can help with SEO.

    first ask yourself what keywords you wanna target. if your a newbie then make sure the keyword has low competition (under 25 000) and a reasonable search volume (over 1000 phrae at bare minimum).

    choose 1 main keyword and 5 secondary keywords.

    make sure you write content for each keyword, dont keyword spam your page but make sure you use it a good few times.

    then its all about backlinking, sorry no sexy secret, go for quality not quantity. Press releases are the best ok the absolute best, they get high traffic surge and google loves them.

    profile pages and forums are great.

    articles to high PR article directories are also great for traffic and backlinks.

    web 2.0 sites like squidoo, hubpage are good.

    journal sites and blogging platforms such as blogger and livejournal add much linkjuice.

    ping your sites, social bookmarke and rss feed.

    if you do these things regularly then you will see traffic.

    Article submission
    One way free directory submission
    Social Bookmarking.
    Social media optimizaiton
    Blog Comments
    Press release ...

    Do these steps in correct manner and you will see your rankings will improve definatly

      Agree with those suggestions.

      There is no substitute for article submission, blog commenting, directory submission and social bookmarking (dont waste your time with Twitter - my opinion).

    How much content do you have on your site? What type of site is it?

    The best thing you can do to a new site is add fresh unique content.

    Promotion wise, if you have good content I would recommend some Press Releases to start things off. Article marketing is boring but it works.

      Blog commenting may help you as well, look for the blogs that are talking about your topic as well, go there, make useful comments about their posts and put your blogs address on the profile so people that reads your comments visit your blog as well.
