Hey everyone,

I'll start off by saying I have my own product in clickbank. It's nothing special but it makes me about $60/month. Recently I've been really looking into getting aweber just to have it. Everyone says lists are powerful, and if you're an authority figure your subscribers will do whatever you want them to basically (buy your stuff).

I have done tons of different marketing and seo methods to get traffic and sales. One way that I get tons of traffic from is article marketing, specifically EZA. There's a nice trickle of traffic coming in going straight to my sales page, nothing in between.

Now my question is: Should I leave it the way it is, or should I have my "bio box" link to a squeeze page where I offer a free report or a "free chapter" to my book?

I REALLY think I should have been linking to a squeeze page this whole time to be honest. I tried the best I could to pre-sell or get them in the mind frame of fixing their issue on my articles but maybe offering them more interaction through a newsletter would guarantee some sales, or generate more which is what I'm going for.

Anyways any help or ideas would be really helpful. I'm thinking about signing up for aweber and setting up a squeeze page with some sort of autoresponder offering something, then slowly ease them into buying. Eventually I would also promote related products but that's down the line, I want to sell my OWN ebook I spent so much time making.

Thanks
Alex

Yes...I think this is a good idea and you will get subscribers and sales. Is very important to have a list.

And...If I was you...I would try to get affiliates. You can get affiliates if you offer tools to promote, prizes and a good comission.

    Just my 2 cents,

Yes, I have a whole affiliate section, and I do provide tools to help them along.

I also have affiliates promoting and making sales, just not as many as I would like.

Ideally I would like to start making a lot more money with it so I can have a professional re-write... or write a new sales letter that will probably convert way better.

Before you make launches , make a big pre-launch, and drive traffic to your site...so the ppls will know about your site...also use an Affiliate Broker like jvnotifypro.com, this will get you many affiliates and if your sale page and graphics are good...you will make good money!

    All the best,

Well the product has been out for about 8 months now, so a launch doesnt make much sense. A re-launch might but I dont have the money for that.

Plus it isnt in the "make money" niche so jvnotifypro.com doesnt really fit my needs.

I could post it on the JV section of this forum that I'm looking for affiliates or I could do list swaps (if I had a list) so yeah..

I think I'm going to sign up for aweber and see if I get many subs.. if it works out I'll keep it, if not well then i'll try something different.

Aweber is expensive, but invaluable. It's the one that I use.

My suggestion would be to use a squeeze page linked to Aweber that offers a free report or ebook closely linked in topic to your own. As an additional incentive also take a chapter from your book, closely related but enhancing the content of the free book.

This should not only encourage sign ups to your list, but stimulate interest in your own product.

Don't forget though to give regular valuable, relevant and quality information to your subscribers, as well as sending the sales pitches!

Just my thoughts and best of luck.

      Regards,
      Jeff.

Well my product comes with the main guide, plus I have 2 "free bonuses" that I give them. I was thinking about offering another "free bonus" to subscribers only. To me this looks like a great value because I'm giving them something they wouldn't normally get.

Now that I've been thinking about it, what I might do is:

        - Offer free bonus book
        - Once they confirm, send them the book, mention that I have something special in a couple days or something?
        - After a couple days send them a "leaked chapter" of my book.. so they can see the quality
        - Then I guess a few days later send them an email saying "if you haven't bought then this is the time" sort of thing

That would be all I would have in my autoresponder series thing.

Every so often I guess I could send them articles on the topic just to remind them that theyre on my list.

    YES YES YES!!!

I write about this in my article marketing course but to be quick: Point your bio box link to your lead catcher page. Typically you'll offer a good bribe for free to get people on your list. Then you can start building a relation and (up-)selling them your product.

When you send people from EZA directly to your salespage you only get that one chance.

When you capture their lead you can do it over and over and over again...

    Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot, you basically just confirmed what I was thinking in my head.

Frankly, that's the same route every successful internet marketer has taken. Of course, there are some who just want you to spend your money without knowing the basics.
I know of a free link that you may find beneficial in packaging your free offer to your customers and readers

Sounds good, but why not try what I suggested AND what you suggest. It's another form of split testing. Track your results, establish the better of the two systems and use that.

      Best Regards,
      Jeff.

Ah awesome. Got my first subscriber.

All I did was change all of the "bio boxes" on my ezine articles to a new one where I talk about a free marriage ebook. The link takes them to my squeeze page where I capture their details.

Aweber is showing a 5.3% conversion for S/UD. Only had about 19 uniques, but I still think I can improve my squeeze page.
