How to Get Noticed on Clickbank?

Do affiliates come to high gravity? Right?

To get high gravity, do you need to sell lots of copies of the product, with your own affiliate link?

Is that how that works?

Gravity score is based on the number of affiliates selling your product, so to get a high gravity score you need to have sales by lots of different affiliates. It's not based on how many you sell through your own link, it is how many other people are selling the product.

Because there are a lot of ebooks on the topic a lot of affiliates are encouraged to go with higher gravity products on Clickbank - unfortunately unless they belong to a forum like this they are not told those same products are also hard to compete with. I have noticed a number of threads on here that show that going for less gravity products in niche markets might be a more constructive way to go if you want to make money as an affiliate yourself. If you want to get affiliates then you will need to have a lot of things in place like a good well converting sales page; some tools the affiliates can use to promote your products; a good commission rate and of course a stellar product that will not incur a lot of refunds.

    Best wishes

So how do hotshots come into Clickbank and get huge attention? Do they get people to mail for them and generate a ton of affiliates?

(Ugh sometimes I wish I was selling in the IM niche -- its just that I dont want to be another one of those guys)

this is exactly what I was gonna say.

dump some money in to testing & grow your conversion rate. approach site owners and show them the data. If your offer has the best EPC, word will get around, affiliates will come find you, and you will get TONS of traffic

Many of 'the big guys' will have a prelaunch and build up to the release of their product so that when they do release their products they already have a large number of affiliates ready to put the word out there and promote their product.

Some will use scripts and have a number of different affiliate accounts so that when they make sales themselves it spreads the sales around their multiple accounts and then increases the gravity score.

Gravity is NOT just from affiliates. Your gravity is also based on your own sales.

I was just thinking last night that if I held a sale (limited time sale), my sales would climb, and so would gravity.

Maybe I'm wrong but I didn't think it was based on the number of sales made by either yourself or your affiliates, but it is based on how many different people are selling the product. So yes your own sales will still count, but only as one (coming from one person) and not as how many of the product you sell in the month.
