what is a good project for 4 people to do?

hi guys, recently me and a few of my close friends decided we should do some sort of a venture together. Does anyone have any ideas on what would work well?

Thanks!

John and I have made micro niche sites together using the xfactor method and they are all on page 1 right now. We know how to backlink. We also know about affiliate marketing and PPC.

      squeeze page...dreamweaver...wordpress...article writing...email marketing...and that's about it.

The other two guys are complete newbies and they dont know ANYTHING about IM. But john and I will teach them.

Cut those two out and go it with just the 2 of you that do know something. Split your profits 2 ways instead of 4 Otherwise you'll spend more time teaching than doing.

          I can't do that.

Us 4 have always been best friends and knowing that one can really earn money using the Internet, I want them to be a part of it. I am willing to teach them. Also...once they learn all the stuff, our team is strong.

            Hey,
That is VERY noble of you! Sincerely.

Why not pull them in under your wing and show them how to do what you are doing, give them some early support (hosting, use of software, etc.) and let them build their own biz.

Then, once they are up and going strong, the 4 of you can have this wonderful synergy recommending each others products and services to the others' lists/customers. Then even do a JV with them and get huge leverage from the 4 separate communities.

            Good luck,
            Scott

Set up a business model that all of you can do, and make it a challenge to grow independently of each other, but make it a challenge in which you can all participate as mates playing a game of soccer, basketball, or some other favorite pastime....

Operating a business with friends is a sure-fire way to kill friendships...

I have made that mistake more times than I would like to admit...

Operating a business with a friend is generally a friendship killer...

It all looks good now, but things will rear their ugly heads, and people will change...

You will often find that only one or two of you are doing all the work... And that causes friction and hard feelings...

Sometimes the wife or girlfriend of one player will stick her nose where it don't belong, and cause trouble for the entire group... Back biting and saying that her man is being taken advantage of... Or she wants to spend more time with him, etc...

Maybe you will get tired of training and retraining those who don't want to learn...

Often, you will quickly discover that you have motivation and none of your partners are motivated in the same way that you are... That causes further dissension among friends...

Save yourself a world of trouble and a world of hurt...

Set you and your friends to do something similar but different... Put your friends on their own road to success, and then compete with each other... That will make you all happier...

    AAARRRRRRGHHHHHHH!!!!!!

    I am having flashbacks!!!

From my personal experience, I would say the only venture 4 friends should get into has to do with girls and/or beer.

This is not always true, but friends do not make the best business partners UNLESS there are very clear boundaries, guidelines and rules for how the venture will be operated.

Really, it is not worth the frustration that comes from this unless the four of you are already used to working with each other (especially in this capacity).

You will need to not only have a strong leader, but the others will have to let that person lead. Not an easy task, if egos are in the way.

Good luck and I sincerely hope your luck is better than mine was with this!

What skills everyone of you have?
What are each of your interests?
    etc.

Just sit down and figure out what each one of you can do and mash it all together to come up with a system of some sort that all four of you can work on.

    It's simple as that

Yeah, I know the feeling. Just that you're probably letting your heart rule your head which isn't always the best when it comes to a successful business.

I don't mean to be rude. But if you're looking for suggestions as to what you should do, before you start doing anything, then it's probably not got the best chance of succeeding.

    Good luck though!
