Just wondering how you guys find your niches....I've been working on one for a while and now I'm ready to start taking on a few sites at a time but I'm having a hard time finding new ground to break into....what steps do you guys normally take to find new niches to wrap your sites around?

You can use many use many sources to find niches. The first thing though after finding a niche is to do keyword research so you can target hungry buyers. Make sense?

I use cashkeywords for all my research and its a free toolbar. You can also check out ebay pulse, or google trends or even going through a magazine and see whats hot.

A niche is something to me that is going to be around for the long haul such as the ever popular dating niche or the weight loss niche.

There are millions of niches you can get into.

For now I've only gotten into niches I'm really interested in myself as it makes work fun. However, finding good niches without tons of competition is great aswell. But yeah, be creative and look around you wherever you are. Ideas can pop into your head at the weirdest moments.

    Hi Chris,

Basically, I start with a root market (like Kitchen Products) and start to work my down into the long tails, paying close attention to market verticals. And what I decide on largely depends on how much time I am willing to invest in the project.

As far as finding them, it depends on what type of website I am creating (e-commerce review site?....content site?.....site with a list building directive?)
