They are automatically bold, until you've read a post.
Your own won't appear bold to you as you've read it while posting.
But it will appear bold to those that haven't read it.

You can't.

If it appears that a that a thread title is bold that's because it's a thread
that you either haven't visited yet or has had additional posts since the last
time you were there.

If I'm wrong, somebody please correct me, but I have never known any way
to bold a thread title.

Ah, okay. I thought I was going crazy because some titles were bold, others weren't. I thought that there was a way to make them bold.

There is no way to bold them yourself...

But there is a way to unbold them...
