If You Are Struggling Read This - My Little Success Story

I have struggled in making consistent amount of money but recently it seems like I have a breakthrough. I know it isn't much and there are many people who are earning much more then me, but right now I am pretty motivated to work harder on building my internet business empire.

I felt lost and confused for most part of my journey. I spent my hard earned money on products, ebooks and spent ton of my time signing up for free newsletter to learn more about internet marketing.

The gurus sometimes make it sound a bit too easy to earn some extra income online or even build an empire online. Each and everyday I doubt more of what they said. Deep in my heart I know making money online is possible, however it is hard work and not as easy as they make it up.

There are times (many times in fact) I want to give up and just stick to my studies and work hard to get a great paying job. This seems like a much easier choice to make instead of slogging hard everyday without knowing whether I will get any results from internet marketing.

I didn't give up. I knew it is going to work. I endure months of not making any sales from my little website but I just kept on plugging at it.

However, recently I started to have a little success (consistent sales). The effort that I put into the website for nearly 9 months finally start to give me some rewards!

Even though my site isn't ranking high in Google, I managed to make some sales by using other methods of getting Traffic such as Ezine Articles, other article directories and social bookmarking.

I know there is much more potential for growth and more income to be made if I work harder on the site and my mindset. I knew I didn't work as hard as I could and I could have make a lot more sites to make me money instead of just building just one.

The recent consistent sales had sparked my passion again and I'm going to continue to work harder and smarter on my internet business. I want to borrow my recent success to help others who are struggling like me.

No matter what, don't give up. Keep on sowing and you will definitely reap at the harvest. I know its hard, everybody tells us it is easy but I know it is not as easy as it seems. But don't let the obstacles stop you from achieving what you truly want. Remember the reasons that get you started into internet marketing. You need these reasons to help you pull through the tough time.

Last but not least, remember to work on your mindset. Most people fail in internet marketing because they did not work on their mindset. Read books on personal development, learn about setting goals, focus, discipline and other life skills that you need to create your online empire. Keep on going and I hope we can achieve the success that we want together.

Regards,
Vincent

Great story Vince. Starting out in anything is never easy. Plus, anything worth having is worth working for.

What people do not understand is that there is no such thing as instant riches 99.9% of the time. In order to build a successful business you need to work hard at it and work at it consistently.

If you can take consistent focused action daily you will move one step closer to success each and every day. Once you reach a tipping point that is when everything starts to snowball and move exponentially. But, you need to get to that point first.

Unfortunately, due to the hyped up sales letters, people think that they are going to be able to come online and instantly build a wildly successful business. That is just not the case.

You Need to work hard at it and you need to work consistently on it. Unfortunately, 99% of the people will fail because they are not willing to, 1 do the work, and 2 wait for the fruits of their labor to bloom.

I agree with Shannon, epecially on the first point. There have been so many threads with enough information to start an IM business and they have not been followed simply because it takes WORK to make it.

Nice job Vince. It is fun when you can finally see some real money coming in. Maybe not enough to pay household bills, but it is enough that you can choose to invest some of it back into your business and pay someone to do some tasks. My online income is still pretty modest and came after a very long time too. But it is also growing!

You are right, don't give up!

I love your story, very inspiring.

I don't believe you always need to work harder to make more money, often you just need to work smarter.

I looked at your blog which is very nicely laid out, I'm a big fan of self improvement myself - but it is one of the harder niches to sell in.

Perhaps you should look at other markets to sell in, if you've made money in the self improvement market (which is VERY tough to sell in) you are certainly talented enough to make plenty of money in more responsive niches.

          Great story Vince!

But you should give yourself more credit! Jonathan's right, "success is success"; a lot of people would've given up after the first month...they never would've made it to that 9th month.

And you're right about the "easy" part, or rather it not being so "easy". A lot of times we get so caught up in the hype of different products and sales-pages telling us how easy it is, we forget that it really does take hard work, determination and focus to succeed in IM.

Here's hoping that your success continues to grow beyond your wildest dreams!

Congrats. I think the hardest part of any new venture is showing up consistently even when it looks as though your efforts are not paying off. Pushing through even when you want to quit takes determination and a vision. Those who don't quit eventually get the prize.

    Vince,
Congratulations!!!!!! That is awesome....you are on the right track and the desire you have can not be taught. That is something we have to have deep down inside. All else can be taught. It is great that you are willing to give back to others by showing them what you have learned.
    Stay strong buddy!

    Hi Vincent,
Thank you for sharing your little success story.

I have been struggling in Internet Marketing for 3 years and finally this year 2010 is truly a phenomenon year for me.

Every aspects of my life improved tremendously, including my Online business.

I met a mentor and signed up to his mentoring program on 25th June 2010.

I finished setting up my marketing system on 25th August 2010.

I started to drive traffic on 29th August 2010.

Below is the screenshot for my aweber account:

And below is the Clickbank sales screenshot I have for this month:

Without focus and determination, I wouldn't achieve this result. Nevertheless, I am still striving forward to making my first $1000 this month.

Hope it helps fellow warriors to motivate them and my little humble results can help you continue to strive forward and never give up.

I don't have a huge traffic to my site, but I'm still making sales despite of it. I believe it may have to do with the keywords that I had selected.

I worked really hard on my Ezine article and I had published nearly 170+ articles on it. This is a great way to see direct traffic coming in but it is not as good as relying on SEO to bring in organic traffic which is much less tedious than writing a new article every time.

      I hope it helps.

That's the way to be! That's my problem right now - consistency. I've had very successful months, but the consistency isn't there (working on it now harder than ever - buying into the next best product was a major start). You just have to keep on trucking like you have done.
