Making money with Joomla! How much can it earn for me?

Hi all,
I have recently joined the Warrior Forums, and I am liking it very much. I have some experience in website development using Joomla, but I don't really know if this skill of mine could earn me extra income online. My questions are:
1) Can I earn with Joomla Websites created from the templates that come with Joomla (shipped with the package) or do they need to be shipped with altogether new/custom templates?
2) Can I earn for making just some templates for Joomla websites?

Looking for some Suggestion/Advices.

    You do NOT "make money" with Joomla. You could design the sweetest Joomla templates/websites/mouse traps/etc. and unless you have:

    a.) Traffic that converts
    b.) Traffic that converts
    c.) Traffic that converts
    d.) Traffic that converts

    oh, and did I mention

    z.) Traffic that converts

    you will earn ZERO.

    So, prior to 'how much can it make me', you might want to think instead:

    How can I build my network WHILE AT THE SAME TIME making your Joomla products....so that when said products ARE ready, you'll have a group of interested folk to whom to market?

    In addition, you have to ask yourself, do you want to make money B to B or B to C?

    B to B (business to business) - you make joomla templates/goodies that you resell to other Joomla vendors.

    B to C (business to customer) - you make joomla templates/goodies that sell DIRECTLY to customers.

    Both situations require somewhat different paths.

    So before you ask yourself how much can ANYTHING make you, ask yourself first:

    How can you get the buying audience FIRST to consider what you have?

    Hi,

    Yes you can make money with your skills from both doing Joomla work for people, selling good templates and selling finished websites you've created.

    People are lazy and many are not technical so your skills definitely have a big market.

    Check out Elance and look for people wanting Joomla work done to get an idea of what people are looking for.

    I buy templates all the time - just bought one this morning and I almost always get some sort of work done on my sites and templates.
