Today, I found that an EZA author is linking to one of my sites in his resource box

Not in one, but 3 articles!

The point is:

-I didn't pay him to do so.
-The submitted content isn't mine.
-I didn't receive any request from this guy to be an affiliate for this site, and he actually uses a direct, plain link to my homepage.

I didn't realize before that EZA authors can be so generous!:p

I am really wondering about the reason that makes someone uses a valuable asset like EZA resource box to link to a totally strange site without any apparent benefit for him.

Any ideas?

    Sounds kinda weird. I would look under your bed tonight before you go to sleep just to make sure nothing creepy is under there lol.

    I would definitely contact him. Seriously, you might be able to get a good JV out of it.

    Could he have made a typo? i.e., typed your domain vs one he owned that was similar?

    Be cool to know his response if you do get in touch with him.

      My domain is too long to be mixed with another domain

      Also...he's using one of my targeted keywords in the anchor text!!!!

      Probably I owe him a beer, not just a thanks

        Maybe two beers, eh?

        If he's driving good traffic and you're making sales, maybe you could offer him an affiliate cut? tit for tat kinda thing (like the beer, just greener) lol

    He may not be a marketer and is using your site as an example as to what ever point he is making? Or he really just believes in the product so wrote 3 articles about it. He may not even know what an affiliate is.
    I'd leave him alone... he might write more.

    He did probably copy your site content and paste on some of he's sites so because of that he put your site link on he's article I had same experience in the past....
