Hello Warriors,

Would like to know your opinion on what is the best day of the week to sell your site at Flippa.com.

Wonder if anyone conducted a test study on this issue.

I haven testing the best days to list sites on Flippa, but a forum veteran mention not to have your suction end on a Saturday or Sunday.

Flippa has an excellent search feature. You could go to ended auctions and the sort them according to the amount of bids. Then you can see which day of the week most of the busy ones fall on.

Depends on how long you're going to list it for. You don't want the auction to end on a weekend.

Anytime during the week, from 9am to 9pm, avoid starting or ending on the week-ends.

If you are truly wanting sell your site quickly, run it 5-7 days.

If you are looking to increase your subscribers, run it for as long as you can.

I agree. Don't ever run it on a weekend... especially the ending. That is one of the most crucial time and you want to have lots of eyeballs on your auction.

Thanks guys for all your replies.

I started the auction yesterday to end in 6 days. I should have monitored this thread.

Now should I extend it or end manually on Friday?

I don't believe it was ever their intention to sell it for $10.

One of the most common methods used, and one which I use, is MOST of my auctions start at $1 with no reserve. I let my buyers set the amount.

BUT I also run them for 5 to 7 days and make sure they cover a full week-end.

If I think I can get $500 or more, I will also pay for a featured listing toward the end of the auction to encourage more traffic and interest.

I also have a small but strong buyers list.

I see that many of the sites that sold for the $10 were either 1 or 2 day auction listings, were PLR sites that were left unchanged with no added valued to them, were spammy with no content, etc.

But, you can also find great sites to buy where they have traffic or rankings but did not optimize or promote their auction listing, etc.

U pay a fee to list of 19.00 but I saw listings for 10.00 seems like u lose money to me.

I don't understand that one either. Maybe they're using it as a list builder, or to sell server space.

Or maybe it's to build up some feedback.

Just leave it, it will be fine You will be covering a full week-end and ending on a week-day so just let it roll.

When you list at Flippa, you can't extend your auction listing, you can only shorten the auction time.

    Best of luck! Leah

    hi,
I've had over 150 listings on flippa and what I've learned is that not everyone has the same online habits as everyone else.
Some people like to surf the net during work hours Mon-Fri, whilst others can only access the net at night.

Then there are folks who avoid going online on the weekends.

I find a lot of BIN sales happen on Sunday nights between 8-10pm. Plenty of folks are online at this time as they unwind and prepare for the week ahead.

I've had the most success with 5 day auctions that include a weekend in the cycle, as you want to cast your net over as many of the varied surfing habits as you can.

    cheers
    Danny

I was wondering about that time period. That was always my sweet spot when putting auctions up on ebay.
