Landing Page or Blog?

Hi Warriors,

I am still currently in the process of marketing my content production website and once I am back up to speed, I will continue marketing it but allow myself time to push forward with my CPA marketing.

Before I get into CPA though, I have been pondering on whether I should start out using blogs to showcase the offer/product/services or instead use a landing page for each one.

It seems like many of the pros stand by the squeeze page method unless they already have a blog with a PR. My question is would it make much difference? Would a blog page dedicated to the product not be as effective?

Just interested in hearing peoples thoughts on this.

Antony.

Hi with a blog you will have the ability to work on a number of pages - you can the same with a number of squeeze pages -

a few points you may want to take into consideration - CMS systems such as wordpress have excellent internal linking so you will not need to worry about it - you also have a number of plugins which will really help in your so and gaining organic rankings -

I would personally go with a blog - for the simple reason to be able to add extra contents to the blog and rank for more keywords -

then again you will need to make sure that your visitors do not get distracted from your offer so some clever layout will ensure you get the maximum click rates-

The good thing about squeeze pages is that they will focus on the call to action and they are very successful in this -

when i do cpa offers i tend to work with review sites as i found them to have the best effect on searchers

im sure everyone's views will vary so it comes down to what you prefer best

I like to give my visitors a choice. In other words, in the EZA resource box, I basically have one link to a squeeze page and another to my blog. A person can visit my website and enjoy my content, or they can go to my squeeze page and get right on my list with a free report.

Either model works very well. With a blog you get to start a conversation with the person. It gives them the opportunity to get your message in a non-intimidating way.

A squeeze page compels them to take action. It makes them excited and pushes them through the sales process more quickly, albeit more forcefully which can be negative sometimes.

video 3 has the instructions on how to hide your posts but still have an optin box on your pages... making it the killer way to have an "optin blog"

I feel that a blog would be helpfull regardless and the combination of both is even better.

IME, blog is always better than the landing pages. It's always good to run a few test drives before sticking to one technique.

        Hi,

Thanks for the responses. I think i´ll definately go with the blog to start with and over time I can test the landing page option with various products. I suppose its also about using what you know and trying what you dont.

Thanks for the advice though, im definately looking foward to practicing what ive learnt.

        Antony.
