Is Google Instant Search the Death of Adsense Mini-Sites?

After reading this article on Practicalecommerce, I have to ask...

Is Google Instant Search going to cause the Death of Adsense Mini-Sites?

Honestly I have to say yes, and here's why...

People are, in my experience, lazy. They will stop typing just as soon as they get a result that looks promising to them.

I think this will lead to an increase in Adwords ad spend as advertisers move to position themselves on the more popular search phrases. While this may be a good thing for Google's bottom line, I believe the losers here will be the small time adsense publisher and the small budget adwords advertisers.

Now, I could be wrong as the final results aren't in yet, but it does make me wonder.

What do you think?

only time will tell, some suggested results are borderline retarded, I go with the suggested ones once every 10 searches.

Absolutely not. People will still finish typing what they were looking for.

I find that interesting since one of my sites has actually dropped from #1 for multiple keyword phrases to averaging #6. All since Instant went live. #1-5 are all covered by major Name Brand sites that weren't even in the top 20 a week or so ago.

Of course this may be a normal google juggle and may settle out in the next couple of weeks, but it's disturbing nonetheless.

Yes, I agree. People please stop building mini-sites. They don't work anymore at all.

News to me. If anything, I'm seeing a slight uptick in traffic to my network of mostly mini-sites that have Adsense and affiliate links on them.

Everything is dying, the internet and making money with it...

Everyone go get a job know :-)

I definitely love how these big sites are scaring so much of the competition away...

Google instant is the end of SEO as we know it... SORRY

  • Most people have no idea what it even is and will keep searching until they find what they want.

I see people in Marketing Forums making so many assumptions because they don't know their target audience.

      Absolutely yes...

Google Instant has caused the sky to start falling, so now it is just a matter of time before the end of the world comes... Of course, Dec 21st 2012 isn't that far away either...

There are dozens of techniques and thousands of websites where one can advertise a website...

Putting all of your eggs in the Google basket was always a bad idea... But Google Instant proves that if the MFA mini-site owners haven't thought to diversify before now, they probably waited too long...

      Now they are doomed...

I was walking to the car the other day, and something hit me on the back of the head...

I looked at my wife and said, "Damn Google..."

She laughed a hearty laugh and responded, "That wasn't Google... That was bird ****..."
