How much is this type of service worth?

So lets say you take a specialist and help him get his presence online. You install blog, update it, get him guest posts, pitch ideas, create email list and maintain stuff. How much is it worth?

    The cost may range from $30/months to thousands (if you want a really big blog)

      Lets say you help him go from zero to 5000 visits a month and schedule full of clients. He becomes a known name in the industry in his country..

      That must be expensive.

        If you can work that, awesome. How about valuing each of those clients and they pay you a cut? - A sales commission. The more you bring to them, the more you make.

          I'm definitely thinking of getting into lead generation biz but need to know how much to charge for making his online presence too. I'm gaining experience and a testimonial with first client and then will charge next ones.

            OK, gotcha. Try to work out at least in your own mind how much those leads will be worth. Maybe say nothing up front, but after x number you'll be getting x amount. (reduces risk to them so they'll bite).

            This can be all over the board - I've seen web stuff at $5 bucks and at more than 100K.

            Only way to tell (IMHO) is to see what the market will bear in your area - check around if anyone else is offering something even close and base your numbers off of that.

              In short, it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it...

              I have seen stuff like this offered from a cut-rate 40 per month, to a premium 5000 per month...

                It might be worth nothing if he doesn't follow up and get sales from it all.
                Its worth is dependent on what use is made of the results.
                You never know in advance what something might turn out to be worth in the long term so it is probably worth building in some sort of escalator clause as mentioned above, i.e. free to set up but once a certain level is reached a commission kicks in.
                For instance if a business is skeptical about whether an online presence will make a difference, this is a good way to prove yourself to them at no risk to them and reap some rewards if it proves to be valuable.
                But you need to ensure there is an agreement up front, because otherwise you could launch their business into the stratosphere and not get rewarded.
                Likewise I've seen many people create an online presence for a business where there was little or no return.
                For instance advertising agencies are brilliant at this. They create a fantastic ad at a huge price to the client, but the only result is the ad agency winning an award for the ad, but it doing nothing for the clients business.

    @Gary King and tpw - Yeah, you guys are right. I think for personal trainer a lead is worth 10-20 bucks if he is not a premium trainer.. Although even giving him leads doesnt mean he will manage to make a sale.

    @EddieHeli, true! It my responsibility to get client from zero to hero so to say. Wouldn't charge much for bad leads and low results...

    Most businesses today don't need much convincing about the benefits of an online presence. What you have to do is run the numbers.

    Find out about their business, current marketing budgets and profit margins then work out the numbers so you have a viable case to put forward, and justify your fees to any business.

      And they dont really understand anything about it... its like I'm talking about cosmos or something...it's just matter of finding good businessmen and trust..
