Thanks Google! - Have I Just Wasted My Time & Money?
I'm not happy at all.
In fact I'm really pissed with Google!
I'm a newbie who's got out the learning stage & started working on building my online business but Google is causing me problems.
Here's what's happening...
I noticed in the SEO section a thread where people were talking about drastic changes in search volume from Google keyword tool. I had just finished building a site around a keyword that was getting...
60,500 searches per month – local & exact match.
These numbers came from the old interface. So I checked the new Google keyword tool interface.
The results were...
880 searches per month – local & exact match.
So what one's correct?
The keyword I was targeting is a very popular product which is very well known & has regular adverts shown on TV.
I don't believe that only 880 people in the whole of the UK are searching for this product, I'm sure it's more – maybe I'm wrong though but who knows?
Also Google instant seems to be having an effect on the keywords too. When you type my keyword into google, google instant adds an 's to the end.
When I look in Google keyword tool in the old interface the search volume is 110,000 with the 's added so it seems people are using the Google instant drop down.
So I'm feeling stuck now, don't know what results to believe so I can't get moving with anything.
