Is blogging just a WASTE of good traffic?

Lets say you have a list...

Every week you bust your butt putting together A+ content and send your list a link to your new blog post...

They all flock to your blog..Yay!

That's great right?

Well what about the NEW people on your list that have never seen your first, second third, or even 33rd blog post?

Wouldnt you be better off having your content set up in an autoresponder so that EVERYONE on your list reads EVERY piece of content?

I mean think about it! All that work on your content and only a fraction of your list even knows it exists!

OR maybe there is a way to have your cake and eat it too?

I would love to hear your Suggestions!

set up your pages as the AR videos and then link people to your posts in your boradcasts.

you can see this done here Simple Blog Profits Coaching Club: Video 1

so that way your posts are hidden (somewhat) from the new subscribers.

  • What you can do is to have in your autoresponder a few of your best or highest rated post, so you make sure your subscribers read the utterly best bits of your blog.

      That's my answer, too.

You may bust your butt every week trying to create A+ content, but the simple truth is you'll get some B's, C's and even the occasional F clunker in there.

When you do hit that home run, add it to an appropriate place in your AR sequence.

That way, your subscribers get pointed to your very best, and the rest is still available if they want to dig for it.

I presume your older posts are archived or still available on your blog - could you perhaps set up a separate page or post with a list of some of your really good content on - then you could just add a line to your autoresponder with "If you liked this then check out XXX" where XXX would obviously be a link to your "featured posts" page links.

I am assuming that your sidebar "recent posts" isn't working for you?

    Best wishes

I've switched over to a blogging model. I have an RSS notifier
that pings my autoresponder and it sends out a notice.

I send out emails too, of course, when I like - but making your
publishing "open" (blogging) as opposed to "closed" (subscribers
only) is a tactic that's proven to me it's value in getting new
subscribers and more traffic to my offers.

Of course blogging well and blogging often is hard work.

I haven't got 'round to it yet, but eventually I may create AR series
with teaser copy and a "click here to see the full post" link - to
direct new subscribers to older, but relevant posts.

See, you can have it both ways. I have reams of autoresponder
and broadcast content I wrote that I can change into blog posts
when I make the time to edit it. If you're reasonably prolific,
blogging is not such a big deal but does take some time.
