Need Ideas On What To Do With Unused Domains

I currently own somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 domains, over 3/4 of which are not being used at the moment. Whenever I come up with an idea, I write it down, do a quick search for a domain and if I find something I like, I register it and put it aside until I have a chance to develop it.

My problem is...

I'm trying to figure out what to do with a few domains I have that don't really have a specific niche associated with them, or are not going to be used for what I originally purchased them for.

telzilla.com <-- niche I purchased it for no longer exists

geekary.com / gnuchoice.com / linuxrookie.com <-- got them because I'm a geek

wizgamer.com <-- Bought on a whim for a flash game site. Decided not to do it. Possibly be better used as a forum?

Out of all my unused domains, these are the ones that are causing me the most grief when it comes to picking a niche or developing them further. I hate to see them just sitting there not being used.

So any ideas on what I can do with them? Niche idea - development idea - etc? All help is appreciated.

Building the SEO Network is good if you do SEO...

You can also list the properties for sale on your high traffic sites... Selling domains through a mailing list is an option that I have seen many use before to success...

Or you can just let them expire without renewal... I have dropped ten from my portfolio this year, and a few more are on the chopping block...

Just do exactly that, then sell memberships for links on them. People will pay big bucks chasing high PR sites.

I just let one of my domains expire. Sometimes, there are some you just know are not worth it.

TelZilla,I really like your geeky domain names, but then again, I'm a bit of a geek. and telzilla.com...hold onto it. Maybe someday you can create a product and sell it from there. The name is really memorable so you never know. It could be worth a lot of dough one day should you decide to shed the telzilla personna here and use your real name, so you can then sell the domain if you wanted to.

I would suggest developing them also. I mean it takes a little longer to see monetary gain but I think in the long run, it pays off big time.

I've let several go already, and there are at least 4-5 more I won't renew. I like these though

Well, I've had this handle here for a long time. I've thought about changing it many times, but for some reason I never have. Besides, it is one of my older domains. I have no intention of getting rid of it.

Blog about each idea you were handling for every domain. Here on this forum you can start new post about some thing like "Ideas with ready domains" . I may buy one if I found the idea is great.

Also thought about that, just building a site and selling it on them. I'd rather not sell the domains. Heck one of them is my name on this forum, I've had it for a long time. LOL

      Thanks.

Tech-related training. Either your own content or market courses by others.

For geekary, I think "The Geekary" (hint: available!) has a good shot at being branded. Maybe an outsourcing site or job board for techs, coders, etc. The new Dice.com!

    How about online math help/tutoring?

wizgamer.com <-- Bought on a whim for a flash game site. Decided not to do it. Possibly be better used as a forum?
I have to assume that you're familiar with this: Games GPH, Arcade game consoles, Emulator Games, Games Emul, GP2X WIZ | GPH

That's actually close to what I originally sold on it. -- Long distance service. Did quite well with it.

      Thanks, good ideas.

Actually, I'm not. I know very little about gaming. I've played a few, mostly online, mmo's that sort of thing, but as for gaming systems like that or xbox, I don't even own one. Good idea though.

      Thanks.
