Rewriting Articles for the Directories?
If I understand correctly, the search engines penalize results of the exact same article, so you always want to publish the article on your own website first, let the SE's index it, and then write a similar article for each of the directories. But how much does the article need to be changed from the original in order to stand a chance at good search engine results?
Of course I'm thinking it would need to be somewhat different anyway, to hold value to the reader in case I submitted the article to say, Articles Base, and then a similar one to Ezine. I've heard of article "spinning" software, but I don't want to mess with junk that's going to clutter up the web; it's not my style
