Need help with One product review site

Hello everyone.

I have recently joined the Warrior forum and am eager to learn. Right now I'm trying to build my business by using my blog, blog review and a one product review site. Unfortunately since I'm very new to this business, I've started about 2 months ago, and my product review site is only about 1.5 weeks, I was wondering if someone could give me some tips on how do I get the most traffic for my website?

My main page is a landing page that has affiliate links to the product that I promote. I also have about 4 general articles about the topic in the "Articles" section. And 2 AdWords banners on the top and middle. But that's all that I have.
I was wondering do I need to submit more articles since this is not a blog? Should I use PPC or try something else? I just don't know what to do and where to start.

Thank you everyone in advance.
Vik.

I don't think anyone can give much advice without actually seeing the site, even it means pm. Did you do proper keyword research? Do you know the in and out of the product?

      Hey Fenshon,

      Thank you for your reply.
The answer to your question is that I did do some keyword research but I don't know the product itself very well. To tell the truth I just bought the already built website with affiliate product. All I needed to do is substitute the affiliate links.

Here is the website, hopefully I'll still be able to pull it off with proper techniques.

        Hi Vik!

Congrats on actually doing something and taking that first step. Review sites do still work pretty well. My advice would be to do some article marketing. Post your articles to both your site and also to some article directories pointing back to your site. Start with one a day and build yourself up to as many as you can handle while still keeping the quality up there.

Build your links slowly and expect your site to get indexed and then drop out of site for a while. Just keep plugging along (no pun intended!) and you should see some sales before long.

Have you thought of adding some Clickbank products to the mix so you aren't just promoting one product? I'm not sure what the % of sale is that you're getting but you can check out the Clickbank marketplace and see if there might be some complementary books that you can promote.

Oh yeah! Almost forgot! Build a list maybe with a little freebie report on hair loss/balding and then promote to this list.

Just a few thoughts but good going so far....you took action. Now keep on going!

    Hi, Bretski.

Thank you for your tips. To tell you honestly I'm not sure if I understand all of them though.
First with articles. You said to write one a day and then post it to article directories. What if I don't have any real knowledge in that dield and cannot write articles with any value? Should I just hire a ghost writer, spin each article and then post it to article directories? Looks kind of expensive for me though...
Now, what if my website's pages are already indexed, by Google at least, how would I proceed with building backlinks? I'm still kind of in the dark with all those backlinking thing.
About the Clickbank. I didn't actually thought about addind any clickbank products because I just don't know where on my site I could put a link to that product. As you can see my main page is a landing page for the affiliate product that I'm promoting, so I don't think it would make sense for me to put out an additional product.
Lastly about the list. I totally agree that I need one, but again there is no real way I could implement it on this website. I have another WordPress blog that I'm working on right now, that's probably where I'm going to try and collect emails.

Please get back to me about what you think about my reasonings.
    Vik.

I would suggest that you do some research on your niche if you don't feel comfortable in writing articles off the top of your head. Soon you will be a baldness guru!!! =)) (May be able to get John Zeus to grow some dang hair....yet I digress!) Publish to your site first and then article directories (Ezinearticles.com and then maybe 8 - 10 other directories for backlinks and traffic) pointing back to your site or the articles directory on your site.

Up to you what you want to do as far as promoting other products on the site. I was just saying that you might be able to grow the site to include other related products. I'm not sure how your site is set up but you can create pages in html format using the main page as a template if you want. Wordpress does make it a lot easier, no doubt.

As far as building a list... sign up for Aweber or one of the other autoresponders and put the html code or jscript code on your site. Yes, Wordpress makes it easier but it is doable with a WYSIWYG html editor ("what you see is what you get" editor so you don't really have to learn html code from scratch)

Hope this helps some and keep on asking questions....I'm sure that others will chime in...

        Bretski,

Thank you for a quick reply.

I totally understand your points where you are coming from and what you suggest me to do. It's just the thing is, when I was creating this website I didn't really think much. All I wanted to do is to buy a domain name and somehow drive traffic to it? (How I'm still struggling about that one). I know it's probably stupid, but hey you live and make mistakes, hopefully I won't make it again.
So my point is, unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to implement your advices on this website but I'll definitely try and make them work when I create something that I'm more knowledgeable about.

        Thank you for your help
        Best regards
        Vik.

    Hey Vik,

Just to let you know that I am also new to the warrior forum and learning lots of great information about internet marketing. Just wanted to ask if you have an internet mentor as I can recommend Alex Jeffery to you. I started his mentoring course in April this year, but I am just taking "FULL" action now to the extent that I am creating my own online product. Alex's coaching course has given me the confidence to believe that I can make money online if I plan and take action daily. It is definitely worth investing in a GOOD mentor, that actually cares about your success, if you have not got one.

    Keep in touch

      Hey Cassandra.

Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately by this time I've wasted too much money on PPC by just testing, which didn't do very well, that I don't really have money to invest into buying mentors (even though I know I need one). The good thing is I believe that I can make money online and that's why I'm taking action it's just I don't really know what the hell I'm doing right now, that's all.
But yeah I'll keep it mind if I'll get some extra cash, from winning a lottery maybe, I'll probably invest it into a new mentor.

      All the best to you.
      Vik.
