Tracking article marketing / PR campains

Before we move towards a huge CPC campain, we want to start with a large article/video marketing campain and a press release.
I know which article directory sends us the most clicks but what I want to know is which one sends the most paying traffic, which subject is the juiciest and other optimization / Idontwanttowaistmytime stuff.
That is true for anywhere I can publish links to a sales page.
I want to find which message/place and form yields the best number of sales. Maybe some site may send us few clicks but high paying customers. I think it is important to know.
For example I want to know
this person came from article 1 from article directory Y and visited page 3 and 4 on our website1 before buying our stuff or subscribing to our newsletter.
I have seen a lot of CPC software and I think Adtrackz may be an interesting solution but I am not sure.
