Using Webinars To Promote And Sell

Quick question. I'm going to start using webinars to promote and sell a $97 product.

My question is, for those of you who are currently doing this, how do you give enough information to whet the appetite without giving away the farm?

I want to give out good quality info so my prospects will see that I can help but to be completely honest I'm afraid that I'll give away the goose that lays the golden egg.

      Marcus,

Checked out your site (and webinars) and you give a boat load of info.

Do you think your free info has a negative impact on sales. I also noticed your webinars are longer than 60 minutes. What service do you use?

You know as long as you provide a great value and over deliver, in every respect, you will do well, but that really requires an in depth product, conversely a "shallow" product, would likely disappoint them so you have to be really prepared, to deliver.

Otherwise word will spread quickly there are a lot of these "fly by the seat of your pants"
"learn how to do webinars, right now" which use webinars to sell the how to do webinars.

I know sounds crazy but there are people out there doing just that,
and it is not as easy as they make it sound.

So buyer beware of these guys out there selling webinars that teach you how to do webinars.
it is just a scam, to get your money.

If you're afraid of giving away the kitchen sink in your webinar, you have a couple of choices. Make the kitchen sink bigger, or the webinar shorter.

Alex Mandossian has a great product on using teleseminars, and most of the material applies to webinars as well. Not sure if he's still doing it, but he had an autoresponder series that gave the basics for the cost of your email address.

If you follow the basic format used in the webinars I've watched lately, you only need about 20 minutes of actual content to fill a 60 minute webinar. You spend 10-15 minutes telling your life story and why anyone should listen to you. Then come ~20 minutes of content. The last 30 minutes or so, you flog your product, and maybe answer a question or two (as long as the answer is "that's included in the product")...
