How to dominate Google :)

Hi my name is Kayer,
I have been marketing for years I thought I'd spread a bit of love to everyone on the forum. You can disagree with any of the methods that I use, but trust me it works . It is breif no long explanation hopefully

So what does it take to get a good ranking on Google?
First and foremost you need to choose the right keywords, the right keywords are the ones you would use to target your product or your niche. These keywords then need to be input in the title of your web page and body of it. Also into meta tags.

Don't spend too much time on on site SEO, it is a common mistake almost everyone makes.

You then need to do off site seo, which basically means back links to your site with correct anchor texts.

Another mistake a lot of people make is acquiring links rather than building links. BUILD YOUR LINKS.

Steps to achieving a good ranking:
  1. Write short articles 300-500 words, containing the keywords in the title and the body.
  2. Create accounts on major blog sites, post your articles to those sites with a link from one of your keywords in the body of the article, back to your site. Do not separate the link from the text.
  3. Submit your articles to directories, wikis and hubs in the same manner as step 2.
  4. Post links for your article to social networking sites.
  5. Grab all the urls you have posted to and submit them to bookmarking sites ie. digg.
  6. Create an RSS feed of all the urls you have posted to and submit them to rss directories.
  7. Ping all of the sites you have posted to
  8. Keep repeating this process, Google will show you love in no time.
Enjoy

You could probably cut out about 75% of that stuff. The more time you spend off your site, the less time you have to spend on your site.

In other words, spend as much time as you can creating useful and informative content (on your site) - everything else will come in time.

I would cut out everything off site - except for the occasional social bookmarking.

As far as I'am concerned, submitting articles to anywhere besides your own site is a waste of time. Why would you help someone else build up their content, and then have them compete against your site?

Creating accounts on blogging sites,,,,, maybe. I can see having a 2nd or 3rd blog to complement your site, but I would not go overboard. Even though I have my own self hosted wordpress blogs, I also have a couple of blogger blogs.

I'am a firm believer of creating content on your "own" site. The more time I spend off my site, the less content I get to post.

Work smarter, not harder. Instead of spending all that time doing the work yourself, you can pay people a mere fraction of what your own time is worth to do the same work. If you want, keep the tasks that you love and can do quickly for yourself -- outsource the rest.

Then, when you've honed your strategy, duplicate it over and over again.

Kayer, it would probably be a good idea to take some time and search through and read various threads on the WF, what you posted is no secret and actually has surfaced numerous times in various threads and can even be found in certain WSOs. I shared that to say this, you don't want to seem like you are rehashing previous information.

Secondly, that method is sufficient to dominate certain niches but not all.

I agree about the importance of keyword research. Many people unfortunately do all of the things you mentioned, but miss this all-important first step. Targeting the right keywords is, in my opinion, absolutely essential.

However I would have to disagree with this. I like what Kev said...

In my experience, on-page SEO is essential in achieving rankings for the keywords you'e chosen. Granted it is important to build your links, but for me, on-page optimization is the 20 that brings in the 80.

    Good advice overall though.
