Question about backlinking to sensitive topic website

Here's the dilemma I face:

I've had a cartoonist create a humorous piece of content for my site as linkbait. Of course, the embed code will have a link back to my site, but here is where I am torn.

The subject of my site is of a personal nature (like genital herpes) and I'm not sure how to structure the link.

Should I just have a link back to the domain as in "cartoon courtesy of GenitalHerpesHell.com" or should I link with anchor text as in "cartoon courtesy of genital herpes solution" with the link pointing to a page optimized for that keyword phrase? (That's not really my site btw.)

Do you think it will matter to webmasters which is used?

My initial thinking was that it doesn't matter because they will either care about linking to a genital herpes site or they won't. And ideally I'd like to link to the optimized page. But then I wondered if there's a greater chance of getting more links if it's a domain name rather than a keyword phrase.

Thoughts?
