Having trouble cloaking a link.

I'm trying to do a direct link to my affiliate link. I'm working on a wordpress site, but in the mean time sending traffic by direct linking. I'm promoting the netflix offer. The redirect is working fine, but I can't get it to do a 100% iframe so it doesn't display my aff link. If none of that made sense I'm trying to make it so when someone types my website it goes to netflix, but shows my website url. I bought Kenster's wso and he gives the iframe code which I can't get to work. Any idea's what I'm doing wrong? I did a search and tried different codes people posted. The rep from host gator tried telling me this isn't possible to do so they weren't much help.

Also correct me if I'm wrong, but wordpress has plugins to mask the url's for you right? Thanks for anyone taking the time to read this. Hoping to get this fixed soon to up my conversions.

    Are you seeing a good number of clicks that are not converting to affiliate sales?

    Just curious how much masking the affiliate URL will do towards increasing conversions.

    In a general public niche, like netflix, most of the visitors would not be as savvy as say those in the internet marketing niche. So, I would be surprised if they are visiting your link and then removing the affiliate link. (just my thought, I could be 100% wrong).

    So, I am thinking the net result of the iframe would not likely be a significant increase in your conversion rate.

    I'm just starting to send traffic so I'm not sure. However after reading kensters guide it makes sense to me to hide it. I know personally before I started getting into affiliate marketing if I seen ugly code like that it made me wonder. I'm just trying to take all precautions because I planned on using some ppc and paid traffic soon.

      Yes, you can mask links or shorten links using your own domain name, turn tracking on / off on each link, track the # of hits per link...by using the Wordpress plugin prettylink. You can also use Gocodes WordPress Plugin to hide affiliate links.

    WordPress is up to something with cloaking links, including Pretty Link. Blair Williams, the creator of it has this posted on his blog:

    "This morning [9/24] Pretty Link disappeared from the WordPress.org plugin repository because it didn’t comply with a new, apparently undocumented policy that doesn’t allow plugins to cloak links. Pretty Link wasn’t the only plugin affected by this policy change, wordpress.org removed all plugins from the repository that allowed users to cloak links"

    The story continues past that of course. His site can be reached via Wordpress if you have already installed PrettyLink and are at that page where it displays:

    Well that's a damned shame, cuz the cloaker plugin I wrote owns the #1 spot for "wordpress link cloaker" on the big G.

    I had a comment on my site just this morning asking where it went - I guess that's the answer, eh?

    Why in the world would anybody wan to use a plugin to cloak links when a redirect is easy, permanent and doesn't rely on third party apps?
