Need help with a term

Does anyone have any idea what we would call "a person who tries out a product for a company and then blogs about it or writes a review on it for the benefit of that company"?

I'm doing a translation and I can't recall how we refer to this kind of person in English. Thanks!

Just to add, the person doesn't actually get money for it, they just get the product.

          I'd go for:-

          Professional reviewer

          Professional product reviewer

          Professional service reviewer

I'm assuming of course, that the people you are using have undertaken reviews previously and know what they are doing.

          Regards,
          Jeff.

I was going to say a "blogger" as well, but when it's written for the benefit of the company... what if they don't like the product? A journalistic blogger should imply no set bias towards the product.

So if the person works for the company, and is in charge of the product launch to include blogging about it, then that person might be part of the marketing team.

If it's a new product, maybe "Beta tester" would fit the bill, but that doesn't always imply a positive review, or that they will blog about it, but it does benefit the company to receive the product feedback from a user.

Thanks guys. A lot of great suggestions.

I think since it's just a person writing a review on a product they received for free and for which they receive no compensation based on the content of the review, I'm just going with "product reviewer".

In Japanese, for some reason, they call them "monitors", borrowing from the English word. Have no idea why they use that term.
