I'd like to know your opinion, because I don't know if I'm doing some mistakes...I'm working at these sites during my weekends and evenings as second job, but I'd like to reach at minimum 2000$/month in order to dedicate myself completely to IM. But after 9 months, I think I'm getting too little results.

This is my strategy:

1: keyword research --> search volume --> competition
2: PLR rewriting and spinning (outsourced)
3: backlinking: web2.0, 5 best article directories, automated directories/blog submission (AMA, Freetrafficsystem, Magic Article Submitter, Automatic submitter helper), profile backlinks (Angela Edwards and Paul Johnson), high PR pages backlinks (backlink membership)

I'm investing about 130$/month (hosting, ama, aweber, backlink lists, articles)

This is my week to do list:
read newsletters about affiliate marketing (1 time/week)
read rss feed from important SEO blog/forums (5 time/week)
watch free videos about SEO (1 time/3 week)
create backlinks (1 time/week)
do some keyword research (1 time/2 week)
outsource 6 articles (1 time/4 week)

I don't think the problem could be the articles, because I've very few pages in front page of Google...before adding other articles, I shoud have better results.

Maybe wrong keywords?

Particoularly, I've changed great part of my keywords at least 2 times, because at first I used Mark's strategy, then I used to check allintitle, allinanchor, exact match results, then I come back to Mark's strategy but using strange keywords like "bark stop dog train", now I'm again not sure this is a good strategy and I'm going to change keywords choosing no more ones not grammatically incorrect but I'm not sure about taking care or not of exact match monthly searches.

What do you think? Can someone please check my keywords or tell me wich pages must be rewritten? Unfortunately my english is not so good to catch grammar errors...

From taking a quick look at your sites the keywords your sites are ranking for do not have much search volume but you are ranking for them. That is why your traffic is so low if we are looking at just your search engine rankings.

Even so, your conversion ratio seems a bit low for the amount of visitors you have had.

I like to see conversions for every 50 to 100 visitors. If I don't, I usually try another offer until I get one that will convert in that ratio.

Dog training is a tough keyword to rank for and not one I would recommend. People typically search for a specific solution to a specific problem and it's no different with animal behavioral issues.

Dig deeper and you will find many long tail keywords....puppy obedience...stop puppy from chewing...stop puppy peeing, etc.

BUT your domain says: puppy training advice

BUT your title tag says: online dog training

You are kind of confusing your visitors...those who find you looking for puppy solutions and you are talking online dog training. Training a dog that is not a puppy are two distinctly different visitors.

Exact monthly searches for "online dog training" is 1,000. For me, this is just too low, especially for exact terms.

Personally, I also don't like the product you are promoting. Nothing personal against the product itself, but the sales page doesn't SHOW ME what problems it will solve...so it's gonna make me a super trainer - but I don't want to be a super trainer, I want to solve a specific problem...does that make sense?

Dogs and puppies are super lucrative niches.

[dog obedience training] gets 9,900 exact global monthly searches.
    [dog training tips]

Competition is on overload on those terms...keep digging...

allintitle: "how to stop dog barking"
    About 2,540 results
1300 Exact Term Global Monthly Searches

Still need to keep digging but you get the picture...also check specific breed names for specific problems.

Find a better product to promote. Target better long tail keywords. Hire someone to do 1 UNIQUE article and promote it.

Hopefully you will get some more suggestions from other experienced Warriors...

    HTH! Leah

I've tried to add breeds name in keywords, but the searches are very low. Even with word "puppy".

Maybe I can start changing the products and the domain name

  • Here are my 2 cents worth …
The only site which has the right graphics is http://build-own-solar-panel.com
The color combination, the logo and the general layout of this site is just right.
As for the other sites … the color combination is not impressive enough, the pictures, including the logo and banner, aren't clear enough, they have too much detail on them and for their size look a bit cramped.
Here is a useful guide for improving your websites' general look:

    My suggestions

    1) Avoid excessive use of hyphens in the domain name. It makes your sites look spammy to both humans and search engines

    2) The first questions people ask when they land on a website is "who are you?"
You should talk little bit about yourself in your website

    3) Always spend time to learn more about marketing. As marketers our ultimate aim is to sell something.

I highly recommend the book Permission Marketing by Seth Godin

    Hope it helps

    ww,

My first thought is that every single one of your web sites is in a competitive niche, so it will take you longer to get ranking.
This is my week to do list:
    1. read newsletters about affiliate marketing (1 time/week)
    2. read rss feed from important SEO blog/forums (5 time/week)
    3. watch free videos about SEO (1 time/3 week)
    4. create backlinks (1 time/week)
    5. do some keyword research (1 time/2 week)
    6. outsource 6 articles (1 time/4 week)
I know it is important in the beginning to learn, but I think you might see more results if you spent more time on site building activities.

Out of the six action steps you listed above, only two of them have the potential to make you money, building backlinks and creating content.

It looks like you are spending 80 percent of your time on activities that have no potential to generate money for you. That needs to be flipped.

Are the numbers for traffic volume monthly? If so, then you are getting around 30-50 visitors per day for your top sites? You need more traffic.

As Leah said, if the keywords you are ranking on are low volumn, you are either going to have to start working on ranking for keywords with higher search volume or ranking on a higher volume of keywords with low searches.

Thank you all for your replies.

      The products are from clickbank.

I think the biggest problem now is traffic...maybe I trusted too mutch in automated software and article directories in past month and now I have to generate content and backlinks.

      Do you agree?
