Default question about "nofollow", and "external nofollow"

hi,

This is my first post and I'm doing some work for someone that involves writing comments on blogs , leaving the name as a certain keyword . I guess that this is helping with pagerank but im not up on any of this stuff.

the problem is that i have been instructed to use a plugin to firefox called seoquake, this strikes a line through links which have the attribute "nofollow" which im told , means , i should avoid posting in these blogs. this seoquake doesnt seem to work properly because if the attribute says "external nofollow" then seoquake doesnt strike through.

does anyone know if there is a similar plugin that recognizes "external nofollow"

another question I was wondering is ; can you use search engines to exclude results that have "nofollow" anywhere in the page source. or does anyone have any suggestions to help me with what i am doing , or any comments or suggestions in general.
