Best program to learn how to get and build offline clients??

After being in IM for a while I see local business websites that are doing everything ALL WRONG.

I dont mind calling businesses or tracking down the owner and giving presentations or selling them my services. But im not sure where to start. Is there a program or book that teaches this?

    From what I've seen, the best way to get offline customers with web sites is to join a leads group like BNI.

    Proteges of mine who built their business through BNI got a quick running start and filled their appointment calendar within two months of getting started!
