Well for a start I would not target emergency dentist but emergency dentist 'cityname' or 'cityname' emergency dentists.

It sounds like you started with but still have a viewpoint of dipping your toe in the water - i.e., only doing a little bit.

If you want to win, attack it. Scale up your efforts and produce some content for the site. Don't pick a few keywords, pick the core ones you're after and develop keyword-rich content for them.

I've done stuff for dentists - if you get "City name dentist" in there, you'll do pretty well on the local results too in my experience - that makes them happy. :-)

Do a search on Google for Emergency Dentist Cityname and
then reverse engineer what the top ranking sites are doing.

This tells you what Google value.

Take a look at the top ranking sites for Emergency Dentist
in other cities to find out what the key factors are in high
rankings and get some neat ideas too.

Success leaves clues.

Make sure that people are searching for those terms in your
city in the first place.

I'm rocking local search using traffic geyser.
It gets results rather quickly.

Here is what you do, piece of cake.

First, you want traffic--NO MATTER WHAT
If your ranking for emergency dentist, great...but also target other core keywords.
Here is the marketing plan..

1)Pick 3 core keywords
2)Create 10 unique articles on each keyword
3)Submit each to 100 article sites, all Page rank 3+ and all linking to the main url and the inner pages

OR

1)pick 3 keywords
2)get 25 web 2.0 properties on different ip address and over a 1 week period on each, and leave for rest for 1 day on each
3)have 75 or 25 unique spun content and linking them to one another without making it look spammy. Or
Create 10 web 2.0 properties with one keyword and submit 10 unique articles to them
Have articles written and submit to 10 article sites high pr
and then link the article sites to the web 2.0 sites

Then go after video marketing, create 10 unique videos and titles
and submit day after day...

You want to kill it,,,no bull**** man...go and get some and make your client super happy. If I wanted I could dominate the city of my overnight...And YES I said that right, after 2 weeks of set up and videos....I guarantee I would dominate any city, new york, cali, fl, texas, washington. Yes

Press Release x 10-25 to 30 sites day after 1 press per 10 sites and the 2nd on the same day at night and then do it for 1 week

Forum Posts, x 10 related sites, with keyword link maybe even 20 forum sites and profile link it them.

Blogging, all my articles on a wordpress or blogspot, and then social bookmarking it all over 1 week period and of course it is new blog content. and all linked to web 2.0 or article sites

Rss submission ...only my web 2.0 and blog sites.

Social Media...Duh...Go for social media and get following on friends like crazy on facebook, myspace, twitter...everyone wants a friend...Shoot I know if someone wants to be my friend. I will let them and if after some time I think they are spamming..I unfollow too easy.

If you want extra help and actually get this going let me...I am not doing this anymore because I am in product development and almost finished.
