How to give people an affiliate link to your website?

Hello fellow warriors,

To understand my question you first need to understand what I want to do. I am going to be sending a bunch of local people to a website to sign up on my auto-responder to get daily local auctions. My test campaign was very successful and have over 750 people who signed up already and I am selling items daily on my auction site just be sending them a daily auction item. Similar to Groupon, but selling a specific item, which I have several of.

When they sign up, I want to give them an affiliate link to that same page for them to send people too as well. I am going to give the person who sends the most people that signs up $500-$1,000. I plan on doing that promotion each month.

My question is how do I set this up so everything can be tracked? Such as what affiliate brought in the most leads, how many people I have on my list, of the people that signed up through their link how much did those people buy, etc. I'd like to give people bigger discounts on items when the people they brought in buy stuff too.

I currently use aweber as my auto-responder, but don't have a clue if there is an affiliate service that I can use to track everything and to give them their own link. Is there a company that can do this for me or do I have to manually do this?

The website is built by me using xsitepro2 and I will be doing all the behind the scenes work as well.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

you need an affiliate tracking script, like iDevAffiliate.

you could also use Prosper202.. and give each person their own keyword (username). You can then place the pixel on the thank you page... and see which keyword (username) brought the most clicks/leads. It's a free option, but you would kind of need to know what you're doing.

iDevAffiliate is made for that, but it's like $200

iDevAffiliate looks like a good solution..but how do you integrate/use it?

Do you have any experience with it?

It's an affiliate tracking script... you don't need to integrate it with any payment processor. A pixel is placed on the "thank you for your order" page... and it records a conversion when someone reaches it.

You can use BFM script as well..you will need to transfer your pages into the script..and it'll give you a good affiliate platform that almost does all what you're looking for...

And it's free...though you'll need to make alot of work setting it up (contact me if you consider it and need help with this)

Not sure if there's some kind of service for affiliate tracking only (usually, affiliate tracking comes as a component of complete business package..you'll need to change the whole structure of your site to do that...

You can check infusionsoft...amember...etc...there re good solutions out there..but remember you'll need to integrate your payment processing & all other site management tasks into these scripts...

Rapid Action Profits is a $297 one time fee with the paypal and membership addons, and my friend Trevor had some great successes with it. I'm not involved with it in any way, I just know there's a lot of people that use it, and it's an easy way to build tiered affiliate payments and even pay affiliates through other affiliates.

Thank you all for the information! I really appreciate it. The first thing and I think the most important thing I want to do is be able to give them an affiliate link so they can help me build my list. Of course that is incentivized, but the paying them based on customer referral purchases is something I want to be able to do down the road. First though, obviously, is to build the list.
