Switching Autoresponders Without Re-Opt-in for Subscriber Imports?

Hey Guys,

I have a large list of subscribers, and want to move to a new autoresponder service. Most of the ones I'm looking at require all of my subscribers to opt-in a second time as I switch them over. For all the talk of having a "cleaner," more focused list, in the end, I'll lose a bunch of subscribers who either couldn't be bothered to opt in again, or simply didn't get around to doing it, and forgot.

Do you know of autoresponders that allow you to import from another service and do not require your subscribers to opt in again? I would think there has to be some way for a service like Aweber to verify with GetResponse that the subscribers are legitimate.

Thanks,

If you have the original Opt-in records (single or double) you'll
have enough to prove they are your leads.

I moved to GetResponse a while back. It took a few days and
a bit of emailing with a support specialist, but they accepted
my lists with no problems and the transition was seamless
    for my subscribers.

iContact will allow you to import your list without
requiring them the double opt-in again:

Email Marketing - iContact (no affil.)

This assumes that the people on the list have been
contacted by you before and have previously agreed
to receive e-mail communications from you.

iContact is very easy to use but doesn't have the
full functionality of some autoresponder providers
      like AWeber or Infusionsoft.

      Dedicated to your success,

      Shaun

I see more and more people moving from aweber to icontact. Is there a reason? Been with aweber for about 2 years now. Seems simple enough. Is it a price or service issue?
