Rapid fire quick list-building trick...

It's all about building a list, isn't it?

This works better for products in the IM niche, only because possible products and vendors are easier to find.

Suppose you have a product of your own, a product that's chugging along but not generating huge sales for you. You've got a list, but not an impressive one. You'd like to convince some biggish type affiliates to promote your product for you but, as you know, that can be a challenge.

What you need to do is find some big super-affiliate types who have a product that was at one time appearing on the top ten in the Clickbank charts. Maybe something that was launched a year or two ago. By now its gravity has likely fallen to down below 20 or so. They are still making a little money from it, but not much at all. It's run its cycle.

Subscribe to their list and when you get their emails, check at the bottom of the page and you will find their physical mailing address if they are using AWeber, GetResponse, or any of the major auto-responder services. Do this for a dozen or so product vendors.

Now, put together an offer, on paper, in which you pitch the following idea. Send the pitch to them via snail mail, not by email.

Explain that you have a great product in their niche and that you want to give your buyers some added value when they buy. Pitch the idea that they can offer their old product as a free "unadvertised bonus" on your download page. You will put an image of their product up, a short blurb, and a "Download Here" link.

Mike, are you nuts? Why would they want to do this?

Let's think about it. They are making next to nothing with the product. Explain that the "download here" link will go, not to the download, but to a squeeze page of theirs where your buyer must give up their name and email before getting the free download.

Starting to make sense? What they will be doing, in essence, it getting the names of probably 80% of your buyers--the ones who choose to opt-in for the product. Remember, a list of buyers is worth ten times what a list of tire kickers is worth. They know that.

If you can convince them that you have half a dozen or so other product vendors who are contributing in a like fashion, and that those vendors have made a commitment to do a promotional mailing for you--they have an incentive to come on board. They want to opt-in the names of buyers those other super-affiliates are sending you.

Everyone wins. You get a handful of big affiliates mailing out to promote your product. They can grow a highly targeted buyers list from the opt-ins they get. And your customers get much more than they bargained for.

A pushbutton magic bullet to get rich with? Not hardly. It involves some work on your part to set up, but getting half a dozen big affiliates to mail for you within a one-week period will get your message to hundreds of thousands of people.

Of course you'll have your own opt-in form on your sales page so you could grow your list by leaps and bounds in just a few days.

NOTE: To make this work you must be able to convince each vendor that you have half a dozen or so other vendors on board with you. If they are the only big affiliate doing this with you, they would only be opting in names of people already on their list.

If you are actually launching your product and announcing it through some of the main JV forums, this can be a great way to bring in a critical mass of big names to promote for you. In your announcement, mention their names and others will likely flock in seeing some of their kindred spirits promoting.

Try it once and you'll be hooked.
