Clickbank sent me an email...

Hello Warriors,

There has been much talk about Clickbank and several concomittant problems...Me a several other Clickbank product vendors actually had a small discussion amongst ourselves as we had been hit by poorer then usual affiliate sales and product sales. We thought it had to do with the implementation of the 'platform globalization phase' and the automatic currency conversion.

What I did was to ask Clickbank to disable automatic currency conversion so that it displays only the default USD currency. Almost immediately, conversions for my product (and sales for it) went up quite drastically.

I received an email from the V.P of operations:

"Recently, you asked us to disable the multicurrency functionality from the ClickBank order form for your products since it automatically converted the price for the customer based on their IP location. Once we disabled the multicurrency functionality, the customer also could not select a different currency once they reached the order form.

Our technical team has now added the flexibility so that we can disable JUST the automatic conversion based on IP location, but still allow the customer the opportunity to select the currency of their choice once they reach the order form.

Please let us know if you would like us to switch your account so that your customers can select a currency once they reach the order form, or if you prefer to keep multicurrency completely disabled."

I did and chose the flexible option. Selecting this option further boosted my sales and conversions.

I don't know if this is going to be the default setting but if you've disabled automatic currency conversion lately OR if you're still under the automatic conversion scheme, it would be good to switch to this flexible option.

Of course, my results are just a single example, it does not necessarily mean you will see increased sales and conversions after selecting the flexible option but based on my experience and gut feeling it will. It woudn't hurt to try and TEST!

    I also received that email as well and was wondering whether or not to leave it in US dollars or give them the option of selecting currency.

    I would be interesting in knowing what is converting best for vendors before making a final decision.
