If you had to make 1400 dollars by Oct 15th What Would You Do

I would create a product with plr, I would get a plr ebook and convert it into video.

Then I would set up a squeeze page to collect names and email. I would then create 7 days of email follow up, and 3-4 content filled videos with sales pitches a tthe end.

I would price the product at $47 dollars and then drive 2000-3000 unique visitors to the page.

I would create a product that solves problems for Internet Marketers. Make sure its top notch. Sell as a WSO and then get some JVs for the product and promote to their list.

For the last part of driving 2000-3000 unique visitors to the page, I believe it is going to take some time to accomplish unless the ebook is really a kicking A piece.

Perhaps you can try the Marketing Samurai tool....

I would email a bunch of local businesses and offer to do SEO work for them or build them a website and hope you nab a few. 3 weeks to make $1,400 with no infrastructure setup is a tall order.

Nicholas speaks the truth.

The method works - and can get you a lot of cash.

The key to making it work is twofold:

1. People mostly buy from those they like/trust. Big or small - so getting this trust and authority is a must.

How?

By giving away free stuff that helps them immediately. Doing so in a cool way that explains how it works and why they need it will prove you know your stuff. It will also build goodwill among your list.

2. Having an irresistible offer.

This is really easy - have a free trial or low priced product up front. Since you are giving away free cool stuff, you can say things like "I liked making the video's for you, I know you would do the same for me..."

and

"If you just pay me 1 dollar for the download, I'll let you try it for 15 days. If you don't like it, won't work for you, then let me know and I'll cancel your billing. You can then keep the product!

If you do like it, I'll just bill you at the end of 15 days and we'll call it even.

The reason I need the dollar is to help cover my bandwidth charges"

This, I promise you, will work like gangbusters!

oh and buy the way, why are you in the weight loss market?
That is up there with one of the most competitive markets there is. The first thing to do is get out of that market and find one that you can compete in and make money.

Also wanted to mention something about flipping the site. You have been working on the site for over a year, that is a good thing. But if it is not earning a lot, you might not get a fair price for it. It might be a better choice to promote it rather than selling.

If you decide to put it up for auction anyway, do so with a reserve in place or else you might get burnt.

Hahaha I've been posting job ops on CL all day at work, so that's really relevantly funny rit now.

1400 in 21 days? At $70/day, that's only 18 fivers a day. (since you only get paid $4) post a bunch of little ads on craigslist (no, not the bad area) and point them at your list of fiverr gigs. Promote a bunch of easy to do fiverr gigs and have at it. Post for the same skillets on Elance, getafreelancer, freelancer, etc. Its not elegant, but if you're running on a short timeframe, beggars can't be choosers. Otherwise, go sell 2 guru launch products.

I'm sure these are all great ideas - but - you've been working online for 3 years and haven't been able to work out how to make that kind of money. Why would any of these ideas magically work for you now?

Reality check. They probably won't.

15 October = 21 days away. Get a bucket, sponge, detergent and extendable window cleaning thingy. Go round and offer to clean windows, cars, motorhomes. You need to make $70 a day.

I would use clickbank maybe select a product from a smaller niche than weight loss. I know Google Adwords can be tricky but you have the potential to get a fair amount of traffic and make $1400.00

You could SOOOO easily do this by getting just one or two offline marketing clients (and that ain't hard to do, despite what people may think). If you need it by October 15, you need to start dialing for dollars and setting up a few appointments (email outreach isn't going to cut it). Just remember to talk to the business owners on their terms (more customers, more revenue) versus our terms (more seo, etc).

I agree with you Nic 100%. Call up the local Chamber of Commerce see if they have any meetings/lunches you can speak at, use meetup.com, make some phone calls, stop by businesses and drop off a flier and brief introduction. Anything to get in front of people quickly. Business owners do need our services. My easiest sales were when I met business owners while being out and about who were just talking about "Using this Internet Thingy" whether is was "I think I need a website", "so and so has a twitter", or "I can't find my website on Google".

Call or stop at your 1st biz by 7am and do not stop till 6pm. Enough days of doing this and you'll make some money. Then you have referrals and possible upsells to build up from there.

The OP has no country listed - so it's hard to know what offline methods would be applicable to him. Looking at the OPs posts there's a record of doing only as much as necessary - and there's no magic bullet.

Basically, he needs $67/day for the next 21 days. I'd say the ONLY chance is to go to craig's list and to Fiver and work your butt off 7 days a week doing whatever work you can get there. Thirteen $5 articles a day would do it - and he says he's a writer so that's what I recommend.

Long days - lots of work and much of it boring. But I'd say that's the only chance the OP has.

My suggestion for you is also to offer your writing services to others to get started immediately. Warrior Forum is the best place to offer your writing service as well know.

If you can show your skills to other people then they might offer you good writing jobs.

This is the fastest way for you right now to get started quickly.
