I Need Information On Bluehost and Host Monster

Hello Fellow Warrior,

I am just kick starting my internet marketing business and I need to sign up with an hosting company. I have identified Bluehost and Host Monster as some of the cheap hosting companies. I need advice from people that have used either of the two, their experience and advice.

Thank you.

I thought you said Just Host at first who nothing more than resellers who have no say when it comes to keeping websites up. Im currently with Hostmonster and they have been solid. They usually back up their servers on a Sunday morning which can cause websites to lag or come down temporarily but other than that theyre good. I cant say anything for Bluehost.

I've used Host Monster for about 4 years. I've setup many clients through them and they do fine for most projects.

    Couple notes:
-Your price will increase to $9.95 / mo after your initial period.
-Not a great environment if you will be using big database sites (crm's, shopping carts, etc) It can run slow.
-They do have good US based service, which is nice and usually less than 3 callers in front of you when you call.

All in all, it's a good starting place, although I'm moving most of my stuff to a VPS.

    Hope that helps.

They are "sister" companies. You will get the same exact cpanel and options for both - so go with which ever has the better offer currently.

Their phone support is excellent, and 24/7

There is the option of fantastico or simplescripts for installing blogs, wordpress, joomla, etc. quickly. My favorite is simplescripts.

I have had great success, uptime, and pleasure dealing with them when I've needed to.

    I use hostmonster. Highly recommended.

Been using bluehost for 10 years. Some of the best support people, everyone local and highly knowledgeable. I highly recommend them. Tried few others over the years and no one compares to bluehost.
