It seems a lot of warriors use WordPress for their sites. I've built a few WP blogs, but I've recently started building HTML sites with CoffeeCup's Visual Site Designer. Does anyone else use CoffeeCup. If so, do you know any good SEO tricks for Visual Site Designer?

    Hey Blake,

There aren't a lot of SEO tricks. Simply have a basic website structure. Focus on main keyword (e.g. cars), have around five different categories (e.g. SUVs, luxury sedans, sports cars) and then create content within these categories which focus on specific long tail keywords (e.g. Nissan Skyline R35).

Have your main keyword in the domain name.
Have your main keyword in the title tag.
Have your main keyword in H1 tag.
Try to keep the keyword density from 5% to 7% on an individual page and then it's all about building backlinks.

I've used CoffeeCup for years and I've been delighted with it. However, it won't do any SEO stuff for you - you have to do all that yourself.

In addition to Neptune's tips above, here's an article that lists out the 10 steps I take with new sites to give them the best SEO start in life:

It's an old article, but those steps remain as true today as when they were written.

    Cheers,

    Martin.
