Anybody else seeing lack of sales this month (sept)?

Dunno if anyone else is seeing the same results but for some reason my sales from clickbank have dipped after labor day.

Used to be 3-4 sales consistently during the summer now I'm seeing too many days with zero sales. I still get the same amount of clicks however.

I'm thinking it could be a bad month or is something goin on over at clickbank. I hear stories all the time but not sure what's really going on.

Try setting up a new clickbank account, insert new aff links and see if you sales improve. Same clicks but no conversion smells fishy to me.

I haven't, but that's because I offer a free cash opportunity. You don't have to pay to get in. I know what you mean though. Ever sense I started the free cash opportunity, I have been getting more responses than ever. People don't want to pay money right now for anything.

Yes, I have noticed a decrease of my Clickbank sales, a huge decrease.... I don't know what's wrong...my hop links aren't high either. There might be an issue with Clickbank.

Hell my sales started dropping back in july. Despite the traffic increases to both my site and the affiliate sites. Which is one of the things that is hurting me the most right now. This is why I think I am going to try my hand on physical products. At least for xmas when all the shoppers will be looking for deals. But I really need to hurry if I am going to get it up before the rush starts.

Explain how that works, if you have time, since your in a hurry. I'm still very new and the only physical model I can think of is amazon. *shrugs* Good luck with your efforts.

Its actually going to be quite easy really. I will start a simple hub or squidoo lense which already has a great deal of links already. Write a very simple straight forward review of a very very specific product. For the competition for exact products or series is really rather low. Not to mention I just did a little bit of spying on all of my competition and non of them are optimized. None of them have more then 15 links going to the exact page. There for this should be the easiest work I have ever had to do. A few well writen articles to sites like eza and go articles should be more then enough to get the lense or hub on the front page very quickly.

I guess i'm misunderstanding the physical part, since that would mean something tangible. Would you still be an Affiliate of some sort?

If you follow Clayton Makepeace and Daniel Levis, as examples, you will see that even the top copywriters are seeing a downward trend in consumer spending that affects their customers.

It not just Clickbank, it's darn near universal across the spectrum. There are pockets of immunity, but these are few and far between.

The thing to keep in mind is these downturns happen in cycles and if you stick around long enough you will be in a good position for the next upswing.

That takes patience and commitment, so don't count on it happening in the near future.

I'd like to hear what these pockets are. Do you know? Thanks for any insights on this.

I am sure every niche is different. I still have one MMO website left. For me October through mid-November has always been one of my best periods. Then it drops off dramatically until March sometimes.

I will say though that this year everything has been much slower than ever for me. Still doing well but it is taking a lot more effort.

september was our best month last year and already in the first 20 days we surpassed last september...so i'd say things are not slowing down for us. but really depends on your products!

Overall, for the year, I would say we are probably a bit down on last year's figures, but September, this year, has been a record month for us.

September has actually been our second best month of the year so far.

That comes from a lot of previously done hard work of course. Comes from sowing your seeds "deep", not "far and wide".

You have to go deep into the niche you are in. If you are in too many niches, then cut back on everything but your top money earners, improve the products, create compelling offers - one-time offers, smart upsells, cross-selling your own products or affiliate products, do more list building and increase your numbers that you can market to.

Look at other advertising opportunities: Bing, FaceBook, List swaps, etc.

Hate to repeat the cliche, but "when the going gets tough, the tough get going".

Pull out all of your marketing weapons. Network more. Sign-up more affiliates. Give them better deals. Improve your conversions. All of these can be done without spending one extra dime, but can bring in a lot of unexpected revenue from unexpected quarters.

Here's the biggest thing that most of us tend to overlook: Focus on creating more value for your *existing* customers, and make them repeat buyers.

You are sitting on a goldmine if you have a list of paying customers. See what you can do to make their life/business/work easier, create the right offers and products, and even on the rainiest of days, it could be a bit more sunny in your corner.

    My humble $0.02.

Completely different story here. Traffic from Clickbank has increased by a factor of twelve in the last few weeks, and sales are exploding. Every time I refresh the stats, another sale of two shows up. I'm getting a bad case of Clickbank stats addition...
